Aight let’s hear it

Mein Kampf (German: [maɪn ˈkampf]; My Struggle or My Fight) is a 1925 autobiographical manifesto by Nazi Party leader Adolf Hitler. The work describes the process by which Hitler became antisemitic and outlines his political ideology and future plans for Germany. Volume 1 of Mein Kampf was published in 1925 and Volume 2 in 1926. The book was edited firstly by Emil Maurice, then by Hitler's deputy Rudolf Hess.

I’ve learned something new today

[–]SenegalForLife1 point2 points  (8 children) | Copy

But wait, there's more!

Bossier City (/ˈboʊʒər/ BOH-zhər) is a city in Bossier Parish, which is located in the northwestern region of the U.S. state of Louisiana in the United States. It is the second most populous city in the Shreveport-Bossier City metropolitan area. In 2018 it had a census-estimated population of 68,222. Bossier City is located on the eastern bank of the Red River and is closely tied economically and socially to its larger sister city Shreveport on the opposite bank. Bossier City is the largest city in Louisiana that is not the parish seat.

Is there a third part?

Ooo, I might get it

The dynamics of shaming is rather strange. Is calling a tall person tall considered shaming? I don't think it is.

But somehow calling a fat person fat, an unhygienic person unhygienic, a promiscuous person slut somehow is considered shaming.

Where does the seed of shaming lie? The person calling me fat or me who is feeling shamed upon being called fat?

[–]NohoTwoPointOh1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy

If it makes them feel bad, it is shaming.

[–]Quarky_Neutrino2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy

But what I am asking is if I feel shame upon being called fat, then am I not the one from whom the shaming starts? Am I not the one who actually thinks it is something to be embarrassed about? If not, then why shame?

[–]NohoTwoPointOh1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Applying logic to their thinking is like asking a snake for his opinion on the shoes you are thinking of purchasing.

[–]Broadside_Beers1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Noho, whilst not really answering your question... kind of answered it perfectly anyway. In todays social climate, anyone can claim anything based on how they feel. In fact, Noho could claim you offended him/her by even having to ask and because Noho felt that feeling that is all the proof necessary nowadays to establish that you acted offensively. Sound ridiculous? Good, it is.

But from a philosophical standpoint... that’s a really awesome question. My instinctual response is that it’s all behind the intent of supposed “statement” (which I’m assuming is binary in this assessment, as either being shaming or non-shaming).

If I in good natured ribbing call my 6 foot rake thin mate a skinny c*nt who’d float away if someone sneezed at him (and myself/mates have used this like before), He, as well as us, would say we aren’t skinny shaming. If we intended it as an insult or an attack or character, or intended it as such a way as to make them a lesser person... I would say that’s where it becomes shaming.

sometimes it's observation using hyperbole like a slightly overweight person is a fat fuck

[–]CamilleLyon4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

Gasp - wait, you mean men also shave and there are social expectations on men to groom as well (military, work)... you mean it's not a unilateral oppressive tactic of The Patriarchy to "keep women down" !

Who gives a 12 year old girl a razor?

[–]EdenNeedsANap1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Their mothers? I got my first razor from my stepmom and learned how to shave at that age, and I was actually a bit late. Most girls were already shaving a year or two before I was.

[–]Scion_of_Perturabo-1 points0 points  (1 child) | Copy

My fiancee's mother, for one. Shes filled with a lot of antiquated views on women and how they should behave.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

I think you must be lost

[–]Warningsignals2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

I got banned from gender critical for something similar but it’s not a big loss.

[–]NecromancherJola2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

They just ban every man who isn’t a simp mate. Don’t overthink about it.

[–]pizzasteve602 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

i had a fucking aneurysm reading the original post i mean "public hair" and "i was never given a choice" jeez

[–]pizzasteve601 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

but still that ban doesn't even make any sense as he said he has his own preferences and not everyone should do this

[–]Diomil2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Of course you got banned, don't you know how they think by now? You're not entitled to an opinion, you can only agree with them or stay silent.

I got banned from there for pointing out the double standard between MGM and FGM

[–]Mytriptorussia20180 points1 point  (14 children) | Copy

[–]Jakeybaby1251 point2 points  (13 children) | Copy

Male Genital Mutilation and Female Genital Mutilation. MGM is encouraged on the same grounds FGM is outlawed.

[–]Mytriptorussia20180 points1 point  (12 children) | Copy

Circumcision in my health class was encouraged by my female phys ed teacher. Also my sister.

[–]Jakeybaby1251 point2 points  (11 children) | Copy

Christ a-fucking-bove, they're delusional. There's no problems that come with having a foreskin that can't be solved with a proper wash in the shower. They're the type who say this sort of stuff just because they think a circumcised penis looks better.

[–]Mytriptorussia20181 point2 points  (10 children) | Copy

They think its like wisdom teeth that only gives us problems and makes our penis dirty. Its not an extra organ, if its there for a reason.

[–]Jakeybaby1251 point2 points  (9 children) | Copy

That's like saying you should chop off a toe just in case there's a chance it gets infected. It's fucking stupid.

[–]Mytriptorussia20180 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

[–]Mytriptorussia20180 points1 point  (7 children) | Copy

Fun story. My dad's penis was circumcised against his will when he did not even notice it. It is still a religious thing. Now feminists and pseudo scientists add an extra layer on top of it.

[–]Jakeybaby1250 points1 point  (6 children) | Copy

Were you circumcised?

[–]Mytriptorussia20180 points1 point  (7 children) | Copy

I got banned for saying this:

Woah woah woah. Some one raped you and it was posted on pornhub? You know pornhub has a no rape policy and is punished. Unless you voluntarily became a slut for that trash site, than there is no reasom for you to be posting this.

On this post.

[–]Jakeybaby1251 point2 points  (6 children) | Copy

The thing is, Pornhub doesn't really enforce that rule.

[–]Mytriptorussia20180 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy

Than especially. That website is trash and I got banned for a dumb reason.

[–]Jakeybaby1250 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

I don't have an account so I can't get banned. I still watch it but don't search up deplorable stuff.

[–]Mytriptorussia20180 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

No I got banned from r/feminists

[–]Jakeybaby1250 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

What dumb reason did you get banned for?

[–]Mytriptorussia20180 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Read my original comment on pornhub.

[–]Jakeybaby1250 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

So you were talking about the ban from r/feminism. Sorry, got confused. Thought you were saying you were banned from Pornhub

[–]NibblyPig0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

Everyone that says they got banned for X actually just got automatically banned for having posts on non-approved subreddits.

[–]Jakeybaby1250 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

Sounds reasonable.

[–]NibblyPig0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

The explanation might, but actually banning people because of their activity on other subreddits is insane

[–]Jakeybaby1250 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

That's what brigading is and it's against Reddit's rules unless it's against subs for men.

[–]epicmemes694200 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

i got banned from there for saying that belgium handled corona terribly

[–]NohoTwoPointOh0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I can't see how. Belgium's health minister is the epitome of healthy, good decision-making.

[–]KindleMann1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

I honestly don't get this. Obviously it's not illegal to stop grooming yourself, and any woman is free to do that (and they honestly should if that's what they want). But do they expect us to.just ignore that and still be attracted to them? Nah, fuck that. You want to have armpit hair? You go girl, but I ain't going nowhere near you. Same reason men shave and pluck out their unibrow - they can stop doing that, but most women will outright reject them if they do. As they should.

[–]Covered-in-Thorns0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

I’m kinda sick of them calling normal societal practices that encourage healthy behavior sexism even though it applies to men too.

[–]KindleMann1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

And this norm is shared in most societies / cultures around the globe.
Why? because some things are not aesthetically pleasing. And I don't mean that in an objective manner, but as something that a big majority of the population subscribes to.
And what is an opinion shared by most? That's right - a social norm.
So a woman/man can absolutely defy these norms (as long as they're not harming anyone) and they should not be mocked for it (because otherwise you're just an asshole) - but expecting EVERYBODY to suddenly find that appealing / pursue them romantically? That's just madness.

[–]localboy35011 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I got banned for two commentaries about mansplaining asking politely if they really considerate it a problem and why

[–]ddialga1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Man i dont understand why neofeminists talks a lot about such primitive things like hair like ... 😭

[–]Ferretninja0070 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I would love to stay and chat but I have to go embrace my body by dying my pubic and armpit hair green

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
