This shit has got to stop. We need to work out a way to get the courts to massively fine and damage any institution, company or organisation that proceeds with these sort of illegal and deplorable tactics. Even if the man ended up being found guilty of sexual assault no university should be allowed to withhold his degree when he had already completed the work.

His offending has no bearing on whether he is qualified for that degree.

The false accusers need to be given mandatory jail sentences for this kind of thing.

False accusations are often a death knell for a man - even when found innocent. Why do these scumbag women think this is okay?

I mean, if he was proven guilty in a court of law fairly, then withholding a degree is nothing when you’re going to jail for a long time.

And false accusations are indeed often dismissed without any real concern by the accusers. This is why so many make these accusations and don’t care, there are no consequences.

I do not think any institution should be allowed to withhold a degree that has already been earnt. The fact he may go to prison is not relevant to the fact he did the work and passed the tests required to get the degree.

To be quite honest, it's going to be situations like this, wherein the university loses LOTS OF MONEY on these sorts of cases, that will make the difference. These cases are primarily about avoiding negative publicity from feminists, and like any business decision, they'll eventually have to balance their cost/benefit or go broke. Even fanatical ideologues have to respect "the bottom line".

I would never have imagined that I would smile to the news of colleges closing dorms and going out of business due to males refusing to attend... but nowadays I cheer. Far too many people have been fleeced by the education industry.

Yeah. I thinks its skewed though cos I only read this but a woman (man too I suppose) who sues for not being treated seriously for rape would cos millions in settlement. Most men not given trials properly would get a few hundred thousand... that is settlements I guess high... I was shocked to read that uni spent 1.2 million defending itself and it hasn't got to a late stage yet

I know the problem re last part. I was really happy what happened to evergreen - they got destroyed on one hand. Obviously tragedy in the other. If it really picked up steam that could happen but don't think much would happen... Like that unis twitter should got be bomarded with tweets about this, everyttime they mention money and funding people should be tweeting is this how you spend your money? Evergreens social media got anhiliated.

Probably still cheaper than losing their federal funding by not going down this path after the Dear Colleague letter from the Obama/Biden administration.

I hope Betsy Devos releases the new title 9 guidelines soon

[–]mellainadiba[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy

is that on the cards? Maybe Biden will have an effect? I don't follow internal US politics like that too much as not from there

[–]biggameprogramming3 points4 points  (2 children) | Copy

What are these guidelines?

[–]Sith_Lord_Of_The_USA5 points6 points  (1 child) | Copy

They basically restore due process to campus sexual assault investigations. Accused men are given full right to cross examine the accuser and witnesses. More evidence is required for a verdict

[–]biggameprogramming5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy

That makes sense. If a crime has been committed, then it should automatically be judged in an actual criminal court. No university has the jurisdiction or the power to pass any sort of judgement on the accused.

For every story like this which gives us some hope, there are dozens or hundreds of innocent men being punished by the hate law, Title IX.

This law was passed in the 70s, but it wasn't a hate law at the time. It was changed by Obama's 2011 "Dear Colleague" letter to punish innocent men.

Feminists protested Trump's reform of the law under Betsy DeVos. That's how badly they want innocent men punished.

Feminism is a hate group. The democrat party is a hate party. Thank God for Trump.

yea surprised its no men squashed by republicans more, like. I said not family with US domestic stuff I don't live there. One of my threads is how Joe bidders role in this has screwedi him over as he helped creae this culture

" Cross-examination had been discouraged by activists and the Obama administration, who claimed it would “re-traumatize” accusers by forcing them to provide evidence of their claims and potentially be challenged by the men they were accusing."

WTF!
