So is rape a "right" for men?

Reddit View
April 4, 2020

One of the main arguments of feminists is men can rape/molest/abuse women.

Last I checked, that shit is all illegal. So what do we do here? Go out and rape women?

As a law abiding citizen who is well educated and have a decent job, I find the argument that these illegal activities are an inherent part of the "bundle" of men's rights a bit absurd and troublesome. Should we go out and"claim" our rights?

The only culture around rape is them falsely accusing others

This is an odd argument that you are posing. I think that some clarification would help me understand what you are saying...

But, if I where to give a verdict from this post, I would disagree with your position. We should let others with inferior ideas keep them, until they realize the wrong nature of them. And some people will never understand superior ideas, ie ‘rape is a terrible crime and anyone who commits it deserves to be prosecuted.’ But that’s ok because people can be wrong. We should let them be wrong, because that’s the idea of individuality. (This isn’t saying to not try to persuade them)

Edit: grammar and clarification

Of course not. I’ve never met an MRA or antifeminist who thinks men have the right to rape women. Some of them do think that the feminist definition of rape is unfair, since, for instance, it treats consensual drunk sex where neither party is sober as rape of the woman by the man. I would agree that this is a hypocritical double standard.

On the other hand, a lot of feminists do seem to think women have the right to rape men. Amy Schumer’s speech about how she, completely sober, had sex with a drunk man who ended up passing out was very popular with feminists. Feminist leaders like Mary Koss have explicitly stated that a woman forcing a man to have sex isn’t as big a deal as the situation is with the genders reversed.

Are you trying to say that we can rape if we want since women already think we do anyways?

If so, haha, no.

The best response to that shit is that women do those things too.

But they have no regard for "not all men" & "women too".

Get over your outrage. People say that men commit the most rape, that’s it. And yes, rape is among the most violent and disturbing things so it’s only fair that this is a critical issue when dealing with men / women relationships.

But I bet that you wouldn’t encourage women to claim their right to rape men when light is being shed on the fact that women can be rapist too. So stop being an hypocrite. This “argument” of yours is fallacious and you know it.
