VAWA = Violance Against Women Act. It was passed in 1993 by the Democrat Hate Party.

"Violence Against Women Act" Let's stop violence against women. Sounds good, right? Good enough for leftists, at any rate - they only care about how things look / sound. They're not smart enough to think about how things work, and to look at results.

First things first, women are more likely to instigate domestic violence, and also to respond to it with violence. In other words, the idea you have in your head of DV being a bad man hurting an innocent woman is wrong. Men are more often the victim than the perp.

But beyond that, VAWA can't stop violence against women for an obvious reason: Violence against ANYONE was already illegal. Since you can't write a law that says "Hey, that other law is good. Let's follow it!", this begs the question: What exactly does VAWA do?

Answer: VAWA is based on the Duluth Model of Domestic Violence, feminist tripe which posits that because women are so oppressed, women are always the victim, and men always the perpetrator, in domestic violence.

Thus, following VAWA, the police who respond to millions of DV calls every year MUST, BY LAW arrest or remove the man from the situation. It doesn't matter if the woman is terrorizing him and the children with a knife when the pigs arrive, they have to punish the man thanks to this hate law.

Title IX existed since the 1970s, and it was harmless. It was something about not discriminating against young women in collegiate athletics. No problem.

Unfortunately, the Democrat Hate Party hijacked this innocuous law with Barack Obama's 2011 "Dear Colleague" letter. This letter strongly threatened universities with removal of the federal funding which most of them require to function, if they allow their campus to be an unsafe place for women.

Again, it sounds good to morons who don't think. "Campuses should be safe for women! Therefore, this law is good! Duh! drools on shirt"

Before we even look at the law, it bears mentioning that more men are raped than women in the US, and furthermore, the #1 safest place in the country for a woman is a college campus. But nevermind logic, let's fear-monger to punish innocent men!

So let's have a look at the nuts & bolts: How does Title IX work? The threat of removal of funding is serious, and to avoid this punishment, universities are expelling male students upon accusation of sexual misconduct.

Hundreds of years ago, anyone could say that anyone else was a witch, and the alleged "witch" was then murdered for being a witch. There was no trial, no court, no nothing. Innocent people were murdered.

THIS IS WHY WE HAVE DUE PROCESS, AKA THE PRESUMPTION OF INNOCENCE, AKA "INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY"

Title IX blatantly does away with this, it's extremely unconstitutional and a tragic ~~step~~ giant leap backwards for humanity. But, along with VAWA, it demonstrates just how evil the democrats and feminists are.
