Coronavirus isn't even particularly deadly. Previous pandemics were Smallpox (A horrible disease that everyone banded together to eliminate), the Spanish Flu (Don't know much about but it apparently provoked your white blood cell production into maximum overdrive clogging veins killing you), and the Black Death (A destructive disease of eastern origin that depopulated Medieval Europe that seemed to have went away when hygiene improved).

Men are far more likely to be assaulted by strangers than women are. This myth that women are constantly at risk in public is as bad as the wage gap myth.

Birds are much more likely than humans to be killed by a predator. Yet people are going to try and protect humans much more than birds.

Myth might be a bit hyperbolic, as if to say that it is actually impossible for something like that to happen to women, as it definitely does. The thing is I think men are just targeted more (If I were to guess why is that they may have more on them to steal or it could be a lot more personal like revenge just a guess though) which is what the feminists believe but reverse.

I wonder if they have tried to counter that argument by saying that it is because that more women have been more careful about walking out in the middle of the night than men are. How would you respond to that?

from what I see women wearing, this is clearly not the case.
heels, which they could not outrun a 5yo in.
clothes, which are body forming or so fragile a normal wash cycle will ruin them.
nails, which are overly decorated to the point of unhealthy weakness.
cosmetics, which shows they will never exert any energy that may induce sweating.
hair, which must always be perfect.

these are all traits of a person who shows on every level they do not work or need to put in any physical effort to live like royalty and on the tippy top of the food chain. Yet they proudly strut through the entire world without any fear b/c men created a civil society.
