That’s what background checks are for dumbass. Background checks reduce the likelihood of such a thing happening. They don’t check to see if a woman will falsely accuse a coworker of assault or by some extremely broad definition of it.

What the fuck does Megan rapino have to do with this?

The real question is what the other 79% of men are thinking given the current legal environment

I'm not sure what we're supposed to conclude from Newman's retort

  • Women don't let fear affect their hiring decisions
  • The risk of sexual assault is small
  • Women don't mind sexual assault
  • Women are stupid

If the feminist claims that sexual assault is common at workplaces and it's impact is severe are true, it's hard to understand why women invest so much in obtaining employment.

Ouch right in the feminist guts

Risk of assault is less than benefit from hiring competent people. FTFY

That or the law might prohibit sex discrimination while hiring. Depends on your country tho.

[–]qemist2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

Risk of assault is less than benefit from hiring competent people.

That's reasonable but the benefit from hiring a competent person isn't enormous. If you thought it was likely the competent applicant would sexually assault you and you believed the impact of sexual assaults to be very high, you wouldn't do it.

[–]Whystare2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Not saying it's more reasonable than the other 3 choices. Just saying it's better expressed like that.

It's just semantics. Ignore me.

[–]KyokoG1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

And, very likely, the actual risk of sexual assault is significantly smaller. One person committing a real assault would outweigh the benefits of hiring many competent people.

Unless, of course, by “assault” they mean “he glanced at my boobs for three seconds.”

Not if it doesn't happen, or doesn't happen to the HR woman.

I mean, is it a predator in a tjousand employees? What are the odds it's one of the 10 ppl the boss's managing?

Well boys let's fly to the moon now shall we

[–]Freeze_Wolf2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

I wouldn’t hire a feminist after #metoo. That’s just a lawsuit waiting to happen

[–]CommitSudokuPerverts3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

So, a misadnrist dyke demonizes men for not wanting to hire toxic people who make false accusations and cause not only drama but legal issues.

[–]Philletto0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

The worst is that accusers of male staff are kept secret and the current employer is so keen to get rid of her they won't hint at it anyway. It is too dangerous to employ women. Better to never emply any women than to strike that accuser who destroys the company.

[–]mrahub1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

This chick misses the point entirely. In that scenario, the female boss would be more likely to sexually harass or assault a male subordinate than the other way around. It happens all the time.

In fact, now that women are taking a dominant role in business, statistics have suggested that they are more sexually aggressive than men in the same environment.

In short, in 2020, a male subordinate is less safe under a female boss than a female subordinate is under a male boss.

Feminists who think woman should live in constant fear that they are getting raped

[–]TraditionalCoffee0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

As a man working in the investment banking sector, I can say that she has a point. lol

[–]FirePlayer15[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

Why could you explain

[–]TraditionalCoffee0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

I can see how men and women interact in the office. Ongoing sexual harassment still happens in first world countries, I’ve seen it myself. I have been in work parties where some asshole thinks it’s normal to slap a girl’s ass. It happens, and there are no major consequences.

[–]FirePlayer15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

That are some cases but they say it like all men do that that's my problem with that

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
