It sounds to me like you're doing pretty much what you need to be doing.

The only thing I want to add is that you need to make sure that you're networking because that's a critical part of getting a job with a business administration degree.

Sounds like you are already doing it. But to answer your question, what it means is:

Think about what you are capable of. Think about it! What if you were to put all of your energy into a mission? You devoted all if your time, resources, and thoughts to this mission. There's virtually nothing that can stop a possessed man, like that. A single human is capable of creating enormous change.

Now, imagine that your mission is YOU: to live the most amazing, kick-ass, fulfilling, inspiring life you can. What would that look like, to you?

Some ideas are:

Get an education
Lift, and take care of your health and hygiene
Continue to learn and grow
Learn how, and then start a business. To reach financial independence, you see to sell a product or service that is beyond "selling your time", like a day job.
Expand and grow your business
Learn another foreign language
Travel, when you can

Right now, it sounds like you are bogged down in school. But take advantage of that. Soak it up, try hard, and get excellent grades. In your off time, work on your Mission. If you are too tired, then spend your time thinking about and planning your Mission. Your Mission IS your life!

The amazing thing about your Mission is the more effort, time, thought, and resources you put into it, the more it helps you. You're investing in yourself.

Lastly, and this should go without saying: don't get married, and don't let a woman get pregnant and take all of the fruits of your Mission for the next 18 years. HTH.

Focus if you can on quantitative side of business administration: accounting, audit, controlling, corporate finance and not the bullshit which takes every girl like marketing, human resources and general management, because at the end you will stay with millions other people who studied but without any hard skills, just general bullshit.

Look for internship or on studies focused part time job if you do nothing relevant to your studies by your parents.

If someone is starting out on building wealth, the most important thing you can do to increase money in your account is stop spending it.

I can’t tell you how many people in my job (who make decent money) live paycheck to paycheck. It’s ridiculous.

Step 1. Write down your monthly expenses and see what you can cut down on.

Figure it out by 30 at the latest and don’t go into any considerable debt. When you find what you love climbing and making it your career becomes second nature.

I am fairly impressed with the solid advice given by the longstanding members of the /finances subreddit. Pay attention to people who have been there for a while and who have consistently high karma on their posts and comments.

I need to find some time to write the post I’ve been making notes on for action planning. Everyone has goals. “I am here. I want to be there.” That’s as far as most get. An action plan starts at the top: “I own my own 3D design and printing business,” and works backwards: “I have applied for the business license.” “I have obtained the printer and software necessary to make the business.” “I have graduated with my certificates and degrees necessary to work my equipment.” etc.

It goes from there all the way to here, where you are now.

Then, you simply turn it upside down and follow the map.

About learning another language, you can go to a language school in a different country for 3 months during the summer... Or right after you graduate college for even longer! :)

I'm 22, in the exact same boat. What I would suggest is getting more acquainted with what you're major can get you, talk to you're advisor about internships and do some studying on glassdoor so you can understand where you can start and what paths you can take. Keep an open line of communication with your parents, mine have been really understanding and they know what my goals are willing to work with me.

You're on a good path. Remember to put aside as much money as you can from your income, and put it into a savings account or invest it somewhere. Don't spend all your cash on bullshit, for example parties.

For you it means to get the most out of your university experience, do well in school, make good friends and be involved in interesting projects that will make you stand out in the future.

Let me give you some advice that I wish I knew when I was 21. Open an IRA and put as much money into it as you can. The yearly limit is 5500 but try to deposit at least 100 a month. Once you get a real job put in the 5500 every year without fail. If you want to know how to grow your equity at 21 this is how.

It's not who you know it's who you are. Are you a Jew, black, or a woman? No? Then get some proprietary skills. Basic literacy in a number of programs read financial articles understand the market get a basic gestalt of accounting and follow developing pronouncements. Lift. Bigger people are more intimidating and commanding in the conference room.

I would watch Gary Vaynerchuck for like beginner business mentality, then move on to deeper knowledge and studying.
