Logical question gets an emotional reply.

The defense of feminism isn’t logical.

and then he walks away because now he knows not to argue with a female.

[–]T0x1cL3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

Because you can't argue with beings that do not use logic.

[–]ILOVHENTAI8 points9 points  (1 child) | Copy

I am confused is this a satire or is this piece of work legit

[–]MetalDarth2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

No it's a legit comic made by a feminist. You can even find it in Top of all time on r/feminism

[–]MatSapientia0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

“Because feminism is an awesome female sexual strategy that gives me awesome powers. Not right? I say what’s right since I have all power”.. says their actions

[–]Offbrandtrashcan0 points1 point  (13 children) | Copy

Lol you guys don't get the comic at all

[–]MetalDarth0 points1 point  (12 children) | Copy

Explain it then

[–]Offbrandtrashcan0 points1 point  (11 children) | Copy

The fact you want to downplay female issues to talk about male issues is sexism towards females. This comic isn't making fun of femenist it's actually pro feminist.

[–]MetalDarth0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah, I knew it is pro feminist, I just thought there was some secret message I didn't realise. Thank you for the answer

[–]brownhorse0 points1 point  (9 children) | Copy

We get it, however you don't see the irony in it.

[–]Offbrandtrashcan0 points1 point  (8 children) | Copy

And what is the irony?

[–]brownhorse0 points1 point  (7 children) | Copy

she doesn't believe in equality.

[–]Offbrandtrashcan0 points1 point  (6 children) | Copy

Tell me in what way are we not equal to women? We literally made the rules.

[–]brownhorse0 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy

what? what kind of response is that?

The girl originally said she's a feminist because she believes in equality. When confronted with logic, she changes her reason for being a feminist. She's a feminist because she is against men.

[–]Offbrandtrashcan0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

She's a feminist because the guy proves her point. He doesn't see her problems equal to hers and demands she focus on male problems as well when we created those problems. She isn't against men she's against sexism and Idiots.

[–]brownhorse0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

He does see her problems but she doesn't see his. Women have issues and so do men. We need to solve all of these problems. The problem with feminism is that it only focuses on one side instead of recognizing the issues across the board. He tries to point that out and she ignores it.

[–]jeepersjess0 points1 point  (15 children) | Copy

“I call myself a feminist because I favor gender equality overall, and since women hold a less equal footing I focus on that.”

[–]DeterminedDoge1 point2 points  (14 children) | Copy

women hold a less equal footing

ok liberal, name ONE right men have that women do not. Legally speaking, of course.

[–]DatBoi_BP0 points1 point  (13 children) | Copy

Saying men and women are equal because the law doesn't say otherwise is a bad argument. Of course there's no explicit law subverting women—it's institutional discrimination. See: pay gap; workplace sexual assault; lenient sentences on rape; the "pink tax". There are others, I'm sure, but I don't remember them. I'm a guy, so I don't have to live with the problems they face, therefore it's easy to lose sight

[–]MetalDarth0 points1 point  (11 children) | Copy

believing in pay gap in 2019

[–]jeepersjess0 points1 point  (10 children) | Copy

While the pay gap has decreased in the US, it is still very much an issue globally. Additionally, we need to address that jobs historically done by women are paid less than jobs historically done by men.

[–]DeterminedDoge0 points1 point  (9 children) | Copy

But I thought fighting for women's rights in the middle East was racist.

[–]jeepersjess0 points1 point  (8 children) | Copy

How is it possibly racist?

[–]DeterminedDoge0 points1 point  (7 children) | Copy

It's not, but the left likes to say it is. We're not allowed to help "because that's just their way." It's obviously racism and discriminatory to want to free these people, right?

[–]jeepersjess0 points1 point  (6 children) | Copy

Nope, it’s only racist if you make it about race. Most of the leftists I know are 100% on board with closing those gaps in education, pay, legal rights, etc. All you have to do is address the issue and not make it about race and then, boom, not racist.

[–]DeterminedDoge0 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy

I'm 100% in agreement with you. But that's not what your party sees it as.

[–]Egalai10 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Pay gap and pink tax are both well documented as myths

Women as a group receive far more lenient sentences than men for identical crimes

Powerful people are assholes who abuse other people this is not unique to men

[–]Vadographer0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I like this, because even though every feminist claims to want equality, they just want to shift the balance of power

name one feminist that isnt a dom LOL

This isn’t about sexism. It’s about him refusing to accept that feminism is about both sexes rights. The reason that we still use feminism is because women face the most sex-based problems compared to men, and also because we have a history of egalitarians picking feminist as their title.

The straw-woman depicted here is just too impatient to explain it to him. When she says “My main focus is on women,” the author omitted “because women face the most problems regarding equality”

[–]Username16421 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

Feminism is defined as the "advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of the equality of the sexes". By definition equality is not the goal, but the reason/excuse. The goal is women's rights. It does not care about the advocacy of men's rights, only women's. The only interest it has in men's rights is the fact that it wants women to have all the same rights. If men had less rights than women, feminism - by definition - would not care. Then again, it's definition would also mean that it wouldn't oppose the advocacy of men's rights, and based on current evidence...

[–]zedudedaniel0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

The reasons it’s defined like that is because, again, the vast majority of sexist issues are ones that weaken women. By a slow process, that difference is becoming less and less pronounced; However, it’s still very prevalent.

And in any case, you can’t stay rigid to a dictionary definition. Most large feminist movements we know today-like the Suffragette movement-were single issue, so of course they only focused on one aspect of sex inequality.

When it comes to men’s right’s issues, those are fairly slim pickings, and so it usually ends up being single issue as well; For example, eliminating the bias against men in domestic abuse accusations. But feminists have historically been very supportive of them.

Based on current evidence of what? You’re implying that feminists are trying to make inequality that harms men. That doesn’t happen, outside from a few crazies on Twitter. Apart from those situations, they’re always straw-men or straw-women.

Fair enough

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
