My sisters are TERF's

I have a friend who is super awesome and I love her. It just so happens that right now she's in transition. My sisters can never see her as a person and only as a freak who's trying to get into women's spaces and women's restrooms. She's not. My own sister made a comment about men are horrible or something and her husband asked "that doesn't include me does it?" And she said "yes it does" I almost had a stroke. They wonder why I'm antifeminist and they are why. They can't see it! I understand women still have issues in the world today. I fear boys my own age because of them. I've seen news stories were little boys get raped by female teachers and ALL the comments are saying "he liked it" "he got lucky!!" Etc...as someone who's been in a mental hospital they don't like it..it all- honestly if I meet an over the top feminist at all on my college campus I might just run them over with my wheelchair.

I read this to find out what "terfs" meant.... Still don't know

[–]AmericanMare[S] 14 points15 points  (8 children) | Copy

Sorry! Terf means Trans exclusionist radical feminist

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (2 children) | Copy

There's too many terms and genders these days..... It's retarded... I sounds to me like they're just assholes for judging people for trying to live their lives.

I'm not saying I think they should use this label I'm just saying that's the name they've given themselves.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

That's fair.

[–]TheRealF00l2 points3 points  (4 children) | Copy

Who in the fuck would know what that means honestly?

[–]AmericanMare[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy

Lots of people. Plus they announce it 😑

[–]TheRealF00l1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

X Doubt.

Don't believe OP? Check out r/gendercritical. It's honestly one of the most toxic places on reddit. Funny enough, you never see places like r/againsthatesubreddits calling out leftist hate like those TERF's, just alt right subs.

Hm?

[–]Diogenes--2 points3 points  (3 children) | Copy

As OP said, trans-exclusionary radical feminist. In practice, they're the most extreme and hateful feminists, and most are very, very, very fat. They project their failings onto men. "Men lack self control!" they shriek, as they eat their 18th box of twinkies for the day. "Men are assholes!", they shout assholishly. "Men can't become attractive women!", they say as they crack any mirror they waddle in front of.

In short, while all feminists hate men, regular feminists stop hating a man if he becomes a woman. Terfs don't.

You can find them in r GenderCritical (not linking it on purpose).

um, men can never be women. thats a biological fact.

[–]Diogenes--0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Totally agree, I just feel bad for them though. They drank the feminist kool-aid that maleness is bad to such an extent that they chop off their dick to attempt getting rid of their maleness. At that point, even regular feminists are like "Wow, ok um... welcome to the sisterhood!". Terfs STILL hate these poor guys.

I’m so sorry for you

[–]AmericanMare[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Thank you. Luckily I live across the country but my dad had to unfriend my sister on Facebook because of the articles she would post. She once posted about bankers being all male and white and how that's racist or something? And my dad's like. Excuse me? Who the fuck put you through college?

[–]AlicornGamer2 points3 points  (3 children) | Copy

that husband needs to RUN. Run away and never return to that girl again.

and she supports male rape? i' sorry but i absoutely hate your sister. I refuse to be an good grounds with people who are terfs or who think male rape victims deserved it

[–]AmericanMare[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

No she doesn't. I'm just explaining how I've seen other people support it or not care about it. Yea she definitely doesn't.

[–]AlicornGamer0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

ahh ok, pardon for the miss understanding on that bit.

[–]AmericanMare[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

You're cool. I just wanted to clear that up that they maybe terrible but they aren't that terrible.

[–]snatfaks1 point2 points  (7 children) | Copy

Lets hope your friend wont be a part of that 40%

[–]AmericanMare[S] 0 points1 point  (6 children) | Copy

40% of what?

[–]snatfaks0 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy

Transpeople that kill themselves. The suicide rate is higher than that of paranoid-schizophrenics.

[–]AmericanMare[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

Oh shit. I think she's doing good and HRT is definitely helping. I didn't know her pre-transition so I can't speak to how she felt before hand but ain't no one going to insult my friend when I'm out with her. It's not happening.

[–]Splentiness0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

Good on you for maintaining that friendship. I would do everything possible to be present, but never meet in areas where your sister or her associate can hurl insults.

I have no idea how prolific this hate group is today. I call it a hate group because it is in every sense. But it seems as though the whole world is embracing bigotry, racism, and prejudices. Your sister is a hate group member and you can't somehow make her a better person.

[–]AmericanMare[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

Luckily those fuckers live across the country and they didn't say anything on graduation night. (I invited her to come and my family flew in)

[–]Splentiness0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Makes sense. I wouldn't work so hard as to write off your entire family. Simply make sure that your friend and your sister aren't together in the same room going forward from here.

[–]AmericanMare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Yep.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
