There are literally hundreds of videos and blog posts debunking this nonsense.
The mythical wage gap is a statistical artifact you get when looking at the average income of all women, vs the average income of all men. It does not account for what actual job they hold; doctors are lumped in with secretaries. It does not account for hours worked, years of experience, time out of employment to raise kids, relative performance or anything else.

This is one of the lies that will not die.

Feminism is not about equality, it is about getting privilege without responsibility - suffrage without conscription, for instance. It is about more responsibility for men (he for she) and more privilege for women (affirmative action, presumption of male guilt, etc.)

So indeed, your formation of choosing between rights and responsibility, or special privilege and special restrictions, gets at the heart of all this.
