I believe accusing a man of being a rapist without any evidence should be illegal

Now my story doesn't carry as much impact, as it was in highschool and people are mean and immature in highschool, but when I was in school, a group of girls would call me a rapist. I have no idea what started this rumor, but it spread quickly. I had to come out and explain that I was homosexual (something I preferred to keep hidden), had to talk to the principle several times, explaining that I did not ever sexually harass anyone, and lost all my friends and had my own sister say that she was ashamed to be related to me for it. It got so bad I started considering suicide.

Now imagine this senario playing out as an adult male, being accused of rape, who can't just move schools or tell the authority's he's just being bullied.

Rape cases should be innocent until proven guilty.

As with every case

Men accused of rape lose everything even if it’s false.

Women who falsely accuse men of rape should be punished as if they had commited rape to teach them a lesson.

To be honest, it should be worse. We should go back in time when false witnesses got the death penalty, that'll stop them doing it.

Well that sucks.

What do you consider evidence? Since you weren’t tried, nor subject to any legal ramifications, I’m confused. Yes, getting falsely accused of something heinous is awful but there’s a difference between a rumor and a false accusation.

It should be taken at least as seriously as filing a false police report.

Following on from that, many universities now force students to undergo a 'Consent Quiz' to receive their grades.

That quiz often involves some very misandristic opinions, such as portraying the man as the one who should ask for consent (women can do it too), or portraying the misinformation that only men can rape. Not true. Also, constantly asking if your partner wants to continue could be disadvantageous and ruin the romantic atmosphere, and women can just call a completely-consensual encounter "rape" afterwards without the guy being prepared or informed.

The vast majority of men are NOT rapists, and these Consent Quizzes do nothing to prevent women - or men - from being raped; they just spread anti-male propaganda. You know what DOES prevent rapes? Women - and men - being taught how to take precautionary measures and how to defend themselves. Duh.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
