For the past few weeks I've been following a rhythm of maximizing productivity on weekdays, and then chilling on the weekends. I've been listening to a lot of podcasts and videos where people like Gary Vaynerchuk claim that one of the secrets to success is to always be working. Even on weekends.

I basically max out the amount of productivity I can do during the week. Here's my usual weekday schedule.

- Wake up, meditate, get ready for work.

- Drive 25-30 minutes to work (Listening to podcasts or audiobooks).

- Get to work and complete everything on my plate so I have some free time to work on my side hustle or browse TRP (I consider this productive)

- On my lunch break I usually bring lunch and I'll read a book on my phone (currently reading "The Way of The Superior Man". I only get 30 minutes but most of the time I only take like 20 because I don't like sitting being on my phone so I'll just get back to work.

- Drive to the gym straight after work, again, listening to podcasts or audiobooks (about to finish "The Ultramind Solution")

- After the gym I'll go to the market and buy groceries or go home and cook dinner.

- I've been getting around 9 hours of sleep lately (it's been AMAZING) so I don't have much free time in the evening.

- Repeat

So as you can see, almost every second of my day is spent productive. Even on the toilet I'll be reading a book on my phone or I'll be on Instagram where I only follow like 40 people so I only spend a few minutes in my day on it.

I'm happy and I'm ok with this. I go to sleep happy and I wake up excited to do it again.

Only issue with this is that around Friday I'll get burnt out. Even if I get 9 hours of sleep, I'll be distracted and unproductive. I'll find myself looking for ways to make the work day go faster. I just feel mentally exhausted and I can only perform at like 60% vs. The other 4 weekdays where I'm 90-100%.

Because of this, I find myself wanting to be lazy and unproductive on weekends. Saturdays will have some production to it for example this past Saturday I went to the gym, I went and toured 2 apartments, I applied for the one I liked and already got approved and a move in date. I then went to my LTR's company Christmas dinner and had a really good time. BUT, when I woke up yesterday. All I wanted was to be unproductive. I watched a movie and played video games all day!

I woke up this morning feeling kinda like crap and sort of regretting it, but as soon as I got to work, I noticed that I was feeling 110%. I've been in the office for only 2 hours and I've already completed enough tasks that would normally take me half a day to complete. I've already given myself enough time to be able to write this post and still be ahead of my projects. I'm feeling pumped, energized, and motivated to be completely productive today.

Would you guys consider this schedule ideal? Healthy?

I know this is a long post and maybe this is just kind of a rant, but I want to know what your guys thoughts are?

TLDR; I want to know how you guys balance your life and manage your "free time" or time to relax. What do you like to do and when do you do it? Do you do it on weekends like or in the evenings?
