And when we complain we are accused of hating women !

All this talk of privilege is damaging on both sides. The whole concept of "check your privilege" is really just an attempt to tell people to police themselves and back down and let someone else take the available opportunities. Honestly, this is the first time I have seen a woman being upset being told she is being privileged. How do you think men feel when we hear this bullshit all of the time? If a guy is moderately successful, it's dismissed as privileged and not due to all of the hard work he put in. Are some people privileged? Of course? Are whole classes of people such as men privileged? Uh, no we are not. We're told we are privileged but simultaneously treated as disposable utilities and work-horses. This post is an example to me of how much women don't like being told the same thing men in general are told. When it's us, we're told to STFU so they can drink our tears. This post states she is being told to take up less space. Men are literally told this metaphorically and also literally because of the way we sit. The narrative applied to men sucks, doesn't it?

For sure but i don't think anyone should be getting hate for their race, white women including.

[–]mrkeifer860 points1 point  (25 children) | Copy

Lately? Boo hoo. Poc been dealing with that hate their entire existence.

Did you just assume I was a white male?

You know what they say about assumptions.

I'm Latino.

And for the record I joined this group because I'm againest feminism. Hence the name "anti-feminist". When this become a place for white men to cry about how they can't be racist anymore?

[–]mrkeifer86-1 points0 points  (20 children) | Copy

Tell that to your white ancestors. Until racism is completely out and done for. Your little pain you experience is nothing compared to what poc have gone through. Your comment sounds like a little 5 yr old complaining how they can't be racist anymore ...

Straw man? That's why they are fighting to get "Karen" on the same level of offensiveness as the "n word". That's not straw man,. That's actually happening. Look it up.

As for your ancestors. Plenty of white people used that same sorry ass lame excuse. Could you be true? Maybe.

All I'm saying is suck it up buttercup. Until they lynch, make you use a different restroom or resturant, make you go to a different school. You haven't had it that rough compared to poc.

😂😂😂😂. But you did assume my race.

You are complaining about being a white woman experienceing hate. Last I checked if you wasn't a racist white woman you aient hated. But let's just say you were. I'll still say the same thing. Get rid of that poor me attitude. You and others like you don't have to worry about your life ending when a cop pulls you over. You don't have to worry about your rights as a individual being trampled on. It's great seeing fem Nazis getting shitted on they way they shit on men. That's one thing I can agree with you on. But being a straight white woma and trying to elevate the hate you receive on the same spectrum of poc was way over board and delusional at best.

[–]mrkeifer860 points1 point  (9 children) | Copy

And being a white woman you need to understand your privledges. You are a woman first and foremost. You will never receive the hate us men do when it comes to family court laws, or that kill all men narritive they are successfully passing off. Or hate for trying to be a father when most women comparing all father's to their shitty baby dad.

Second you're white .. I've already explained the mistreatment of poc. You seem to care more about being called a Karen vs poc actually dieing. Your priorities are fucked up and it shows. Get over it.

So sorry /s for not caring about your feelings over poc lives. Truth us your feelings are the furthest thing from my mind.

Somehow I doubt she would accept any similarity between the two.

[–]princesspuppy123 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

Honestly, I feel like people telling each other how privileged they are makes them all sound like whiny asses. Sorry, but it's not just with genders or ethnicity or anything but just literally with everything. Like you're privileged because you're rich even though you were at some point poor and made your way up and took you lots of work. Some people may be seen as privileged but have their own hardships to deal with I guess is what I'm trying to say.

Personally i think you can say some sexism is worse than other sexism. I think objectifying women and treating them as sexually objects is worse than saying men are trash on social media. I dont think the high suicide rate for men is due to that im pretty sure its due to men being raised to supress emotions and not seek help when they suffer from mental health issues.

[–]OkLetterhead9[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy

'Boys don't cry': Study suggests mothers, not fathers, show gender bias towards sons

Yes, but the negative portrayal of men in the media affect their mental health and self esteem.

[–]mygstacy0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

I agree with that. I think men being taught to not show emotion is a big problem enforced by both men and women.

Watch this speech: https://youtu.be/gkjW9PZBRfk

This is what feminism is supposed to be.

Oh i hate Emma Watson, the UN launched the campaign HeForShe but there is no SheForHe !

Where i live men pass 12 months in the milletary service but not women. why the UN never talk about that ? because they have women's rights commission but no men's rights commission. The Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women is an international treaty adopted in 1979 by the United Nations General Assembly. but there is no Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Men.

The UN have programs about domestic violence against women, but not about domestic violence against men. Programs about girls education, but not about boys education. Campaign to end female genital mutulation, but no campaign to end male genital mutulation.

You see why i think feminism is not about equality ?! because all feminist organisations including the UN don't give a shit about equality. they only care about women's rights. and only women's rights.

The UN is responsible for hundreds of thousands of men starving to death through negligence

In Haiti after the earthquake in 2011. The WFP sent up stations across the country to hand out bags of rice for people to eat, only women were allowed to get food.

[–]mygstacy0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Yeah all those examples you said are problems that affect women wayy more

[–]OkLetterhead9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Stop making it a competition, it doesn't matter who is affected more. the government should protect ALL victims regardless of who is the majority of victims !!

You don't care about equality ! You don't care about equality if after everything i say you respond by "women are more affected" ...

[–]mygstacy0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

except the last two points idk much about that

[–]mrkeifer860 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

And you assumed my race by that first comment of yours. "Keep that same energy When everyone blames straight white men". Like that pertained to me. First of I am a man and I get blamed for everything regardless of my race.

Like I said before. Your a white woman. Check your damn privilege.

[–]mygstacy-1 points0 points  (20 children) | Copy

You can be not privileged in wealth but still have male privilege and white privilege. A poor white man would have more privilege than a poor black woman in the exact same situation because although the white man has no wealth privilege hes still more advantaged than the black woman due to his male and white privilege.

[–]OkLetterhead9[S] 0 points1 point  (19 children) | Copy

Actually the opposite is true. poor black woman have more privilege than a poor white man.

There is a lot of NGO that support women but nothing to support men. all government funding are given to female chelters of domestic violence victims and 00 for male victims. women are the privliged sex. men are the majority of the jobless, the majority of the homless, the majority of suicide victims, majority of death in the workplace etc etc ...

[–]mygstacy0 points1 point  (15 children) | Copy

The reason poor black women have more support is because they have less privilege therefore are at higher risk and need more support. I agree men need support too and we should do more for them if its unequal but that doesnt mean theyre not more privileged in general.

[–]OkLetterhead9[S] 0 points1 point  (14 children) | Copy

Women are more privileged in general, men are doing worst in all area .. education, joblessness, homelessness, health, life expectancy, suicide, all domestic violence funding for women, workplace death etc etc ...

The only area where men are better is the number of CEO. but you want to see 1 % and ignore 99% ?! your world view is biased.

[–]mygstacy0 points1 point  (13 children) | Copy

Men arent doing worse in all areas. I think youve only researched mens issues and ignored all the sexism against women. If you look into who has it worse overall instead of just looking into mens issues youll find women are less privileged in general and experience a lot more sexism and discrimination than men

Legally men and women have equal rights in the UK and US. I know globally women have significantly less rights but im assuming youre from the US or UK correct me if im wrong.

In society though women have a lot less privilege. The biggest issue for women is sexual assault and rape. Every single woman I know has been sexually assaulted and harassed, and I know quite a few women who have been raped. Every single time I go on a night out I am touched without my consent by men (arse-grabbing, touching my waist and so on). Men are raped too but 88% of rape victims are women. False accusations are wrong but they make up a tiny proportion of all rape cases so should not detract from the arguments against rape. You can look up the statistics if you dont believe me.

The reason women usually don’t report rape is because of secondary victimization in the criminal justice system. It often feels as though the victim is the one on trial. They are slandered, ridiculed and blamed by judges for the crimes committed against them. They are asked what they were wearing as if somehow wearing a skirt means you’re asking to be raped.

Catcalling/ random verbal abuse is common. It’s uncomfortable, scary and dehumanizing. This happens constantly. Catcalling is very common in school uniforms as well. Grown men are sexualizing CHILDREN.

Another example of sexism is double standards. Women with body hair are seen as disgusting but men aren’t. Women can’t show their nipples but men can. Men are praised for sleeping with lots of women but women are shamed for sleeping with lots of men.

Women really can’t do anything without being ridiculed for it. We are objectified and treated as if we only exist for the pleasure of men.

I think one of the worst issues feminists fight against is violence against trans women. There is such a stigma around being a trans woman and transphobia is so widely accepted that trans women are being murdered. 8 out of 13 trans women have suffered physical abuse in the workplace. Trans women are more likely to be poor, unemployed or homeless. In America, the life expectancy of a black trans woman is 35 years old! This is because they are being MURDERED by men. The tories are planning on reversing trans rights in the UK so that trans women will no longer be allowed in female safe spaces such as women’a refuges. People will lose their lives because of this legislation.

Women have fewer opportunities in society. We are generally paid less than men and we are less likely to progress as far in our careers because of the glass ceiling. We are under-represented in politics, for example there has never been a female president in America and there have only been two female prime ministers in the UK.

And all of this is only in the UK and America. In some countries women don’t even have the same legal rights as men. Child brides, female genital mutilation (this happens in the UK too), sex trafficking and so on are all huge issues worldwide.

Its not a competition, women and men both have different issues but women are significantly less privileged. Which is why they have more support than men.

A big issue for men is the male suicide rate. This stems from men being taught to supress theyre emotions and man up which results in them being a lot less likely to seek help when they need it. This is also an issue that feminism is trying to combat.

[–]OkLetterhead9[S] 0 points1 point  (12 children) | Copy

Legally men and women have equal rights in the UK and US ? this is not true ! Discrimination against women is illegal but against men is called positive discrimination. men are second class citizen. men's issues are completly ignored.

Child brides, female genital mutilation ? yes i know. i don't deny women's issues. and we should talk about them. but you can find equiavalent men's issues. child labour are mostly boys, male genital mutulation exist too. even in the US. where i live men pass 12 months in the millitary service but not women etc etc ...

Grown men are sexualizing CHILDREN. ?! WTF ?! you can find a lot of articles about female pedophile teachers why only talk about men ?! do you care about childrens or you just want to demonize men ?! this week in the UK woman, 22, spared jail for sex with boy, 14, after judge said relationship was ‘mutual’ ! source : https://metro.co.uk/2020/07/01/woman-22-spared-jail-sex-boy-14-judge-said-relationship-was-mutual-12926412/?fbclid=IwAR3ZAwrEPXU98RAt48jMBdjAMzHWZAVYX6ZFB4jH8c0qYtey_6Y-uLjeFVU how is this possible ? There is no consensual sex between an adult and a minor. sex is automatically considered rape by the law. If a man did this he will be in jail, but women are given free pass for their sexual misconduct. This is not the first time, in canada court said ‘pedophilia does not apply’ — because perpetrator is a woman ! source : https://www.thestar.com/opinion/star-columnists/2018/10/25/court-says-pedophilia-does-not-apply-because-perpetrator-is-a-woman.html

I oppose gender roles, i oppose sexist double standard against women, but men face sexism too. just watch this video about the topic ! stop pretending that sexism only affect women ! you can find 1 million article calling men trash and openly saying hating men is good, but never articles about hating women in the mainstream media ! Link of the video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JsFDvU9h7E&feature=youtu.be

A big issue for men is the male suicide rate. This stems from men being taught to supress theyre emotions and man up which results in them being a lot less likely to seek help when they need it. This is also an issue that feminism is trying to combat. ?! you are joking right ? feminism always mock men using terms like "fragile masculinity" and "male tears" ! Feminism care only about women's rights. but gender equality = women's rights + men's rights. and you always oppose and mock men's rights !

you say its not a competition and just after that you say women are suffering more !! stop making it a competition ! If it's not a competition stop making comparison and stop labeling all men as privileged. and the stats say different story. men are doing worst in all area. how women are less priviliged if they are more educated are helthier and men are more jobless and homless ?!

[–]mygstacy0 points1 point  (11 children) | Copy

Yes i agree men have issues obviously but statistically women have more thats why feminism exists. Im not gonna give a whole bunch of statistics because you can look them up easily and you'll just reply with more statistics about men. I thought it was well known that men have more privilege. What you're doing is similar to saying all lives matter instead of black lives matter. Yes we know men have issues too but they still have more privilege than women. Read this article it explains this quite well: https://medium.com/fearless-she-wrote/yes-we-know-female-privilege-exists-549331cb60c8

The equality act in the UK says you musnt be descriminated against because of your sex whether youre a man or woman, idk if its the same in the US but if it isnt i agree that it should be.

About the grown men sexualing children i meant catcalling since 35% of girls wearing school uniform have been sexually harrassed in public. I wasnt talking about pedophiles but even then i cant find any exact statistics but i know the majority of convicted pedophiles are men.

Women who only care about womens rights and mock mens rights arent feminists since feminism is by definition about equal rights. The reason it mainly focuses on women is because women are the ones who arent yet equal to men.

[–]OkLetterhead9[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

If it's not a competition why you keep saying women have more suffering and men have more privilge ?!

the majority of convicted pedophiles are men ? and ? i just showed an article of two women escape jail after commiting pedophilia ! the justice system is biased against men. just watch the red pill documetary to understand men's issues.

In 2017 the UK’s then Chief Medical Officer Dame Sally Davies replied to requests from the Men & Boys Coalition to state that she had no plans to conduct an annual report into men’s health, despite having published a detailed and extensive annual report into women’s health strategy in 2015.

In the US there is women's health office, but no men's health office. all contries have women's health policy but only 4 have men's health policy. I can give one million example of systemic discrimination against men in all area . even area where men are disadvantaged like health and education.

Women who only care about womens rights and mock mens rights arent feminists ? hahahahaha literally all feminist organisations oppose the men's rights movement. Ms magazine the bigest feminist magazine in ethe US called for protest against the first international men's issues ocnference. national organisation for women the bigest feminist org in US oppose joint custody for more than 50 years . and that's the reason why warren farrell who was in the borad of directors as a feminist left and became one the founders of the men's rights mvmt.

A proposal at Simon Fraser University (near Vancouver) to open up a men’s centre on campus (to address issues like suicide, addiction, and negative stereotypes) was opposed by the existing women’s centre.

Three students at Ryerson University (also in Toronto) tried to start a men’s issues club. They were blocked by the student union, which associated the idea with supposed “anti-women’s rights groups” and dismissed the idea of sexism against men as an “oppressive concept”. The union passed a motion saying it rejects “Groups, meetings events or initiatives [that] negate the need to centre women’s voices in the struggle for gender equity”.

A student at Durham University in England was affected by the suicide of a close male friend, and so he tried to open up a “male human rights society” on campus. His proposal was rejected by the Societies Committee as “controversial”, and he was told he could only have a men’s group as a branch of the Feminist Society on campus.

In 2015, the University of York announced its intention to observe International Men’s Day. A torrent of criticism ensued, including an open letter to the university claiming that such a day “does not combat inequality, but merely amplifies existing, structurally imposed, inequalities”. The university cancelled the plans and affirmed that “the main focus of gender equality work should continue to be on the inequalities faced by women”. In contrast, its observation of International Women’s day a few months earlier was a week long affair with more than 100 events.

Women are the ones who aren't yet equal to men ? but you said it's not a competition ?! In education boys are 20 % less likely to go to college. the majority of homeless are men, the majority of addicted to drugs are men, the majority of jobless are men. sexism against men is more normalized. you can say men are trash but you can't say women are trash. etc etc ....

the reason why feminists think that women are oppressed because you ignore all the area where women have it better. If you classify one gender as victim and the other as opprosor you don't beleive in equality. the reality is women are disadvantaged in some area and men are disadvantaged in some area. but you insist that we should only care about women's rights and calling men trash and at the same time say feminism is just about equality !

[–]mygstacy0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

Ive never said men are trash and we should only care about womens rights... I know its not a competition im just stating what i believe based off the information ive seen and youre doing the same thing.

I dont see how you can argue with me saying the majority of convicted pedophiles are men with an example of 2 female pedophiles who escaped jail. I know there are female pedophiles thats why i said the majority are men and not all of them.

Again for every point you make about male descrimination i could make a point about female descrimination but its not gonna get us anywhere because both genders experience descrimination and there are tons of examples. I still believe in general women are more descriminated against in society than men. Its getting better but women have been descriminated against for hundreds of years. The amount of descrimination me and other girls i know experience in daily life compared to guys i know is huge. Ive already listed examples and im sure you could find more.

[–]OkLetterhead9[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

You don't say men are trash but it is acceptable thing to say. i can find articles in mainstream media saying men are inferior. and hating men is good.

It's not just example of 2 female pedophiles who escaped jail. this is a systemic problem. the sentensing disparity in 60% between men and women.

The justice system is sexist against men, and they doin't even hide it. Judges told: 'be more lenient to women criminals' Judges have been told to deal less severely with female criminals than men when determining how to sentence them. Source : https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/7995844/Judges-told-be-more-lenient-to-women-criminals.html

And there is a lot of feminist organisations calling for closing women's prisons. only men should be in prison according to them.

You think women face more discrimination because you are a woman. men face sexism every day. why you want to make it a competition !!

In india rape law exclude men, when men's rights advocates asked for gender neutral laws the feminists objected saying rape against men by women doesn't exist.

In israel the same .

Women’s groups: Cancel law charging women with rape! link : https://www.jpost.com/Israel/Womens-groups-Cancel-law-charging-women-with-rape

[–]mygstacy0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

I dont really know anything about india im mainly talking about sexism in the uk and us but im pretty sure india is very sexist towards women. Women in inda barely even drive

[–]Nevarinin5120 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

A bit odd comparing the ability to drive, which is also a function of economics, which India is lacking behind in general, therefore also applies to men there, with not being able to be charged with rape. I mean, priorities, really.

[–]OkLetterhead9[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Why you can't understand that all countries are sexist against both men and women. but in different area ?

For example in india when the government collecting data about domestic violence they give men and women two different questionnaires. for men the questions are from the point of view of perpetrator. but for women the questions are from a point of view of victim. isn't that sexist ? assuming that only women are victims is sexist.

If we want to go towerd gender equality. we should stop making it a competition and talk about both sexism against women and sexism against men.

[–]mygstacy0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

When women are homeless theyre more at risk to sexual assault and rape. Theyre also more likely to have experienced trauma and abuse both before and during homelessness. The reason theres more funding for female demostic abuse shelters is because over 80% of domestic abuse victims are female. I think male shelters need more funding than they do currently but it makes sense for womens shelters to have more since theres more victims.

[–]OkLetterhead9[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. This includes a range of behaviors (e.g. slapping, shoving, pushing)

Male shelters need more funding than they do currently ? haha they don't. male shelters get 00 dollar. because they don't even exist. in 2013 they opened the fist in the US. i don't know if they are still open. women get 100 % of the funding. yess the funding should be more for women if there is more female victims. but now women take 100% of the funding in all contries. and the bill called "violence against women" !!!

[–]mygstacy0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

This article explains why women suffer more from domestic violence with statistics: https://www.womensaid.org.uk/information-support/what-is-domestic-abuse/domestic-abuse-is-a-gendered-crime/

I dont know why you're arguing with me saying male shelters need more funding. Maybe i should have said male victims instead. Still that shows i agree with you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
