I am a women but sill support "anti feminism"

I think feminism is actually stupid. Their main "goal" was to make men and women equal but that has evolved into many things that honestly make absolutely no sense. I was fine before this. I had no problems. And I honestly think no one did. Moving on to the point that they do not even try to make a point that men are honestly having it worse than them. At the start maybe their goal was okay, but now I see no point in it. It is just making men have one reputation, which I most utterly disagree with. They were complaining abut all women having one "reputation" but proceeding to pass that reputation to males. Overall, I thing I am one of the only women who has put this opinion out there, and I hope there are more to come to this realization. I would also like to acknowledge that the this sub reddit has made it a rule to not hate on women which I am happy about.

Dont worry you are not even close to being the only women who has seen the hypocrisy and idiocy of the modern feminist movement.

There is a thriving internet community of female antifeminists.

Thank you! I have come across a few youtube videos and channels that share my opinion.

I don't have a link but I remember surveys finding that about 3/4 of American women are not feminists. A woman opposing feminism is the same as a white person opposing white supremacism.

Feminists organizations, like most ideological groups, have one ultimate goal: $$$the feminist agenda

I think more women are starting to see it (I hope so) lately, but have been terrified to speak up because they'll be chased off of social media or worse for it. modern feminists aren't against bullying as long as they're the ones doing it

I actually witnessed this. I was scrolling on instagram and saw that someone reposted a tik tok that featured a women critiquing feminists. I was scrolling through the comments and many people wanted her username so they could attack her, but a reply stated that she deleted her account due to so much hate. I actually posted this on reddit because I don't think any of my friends know of this account. It is also the same for other divided issues which I will not get into.

I believe it. Any woman critiquing feminists instead of blindly agreeing and yelling "YASSS QUEEN" are shouted down or much worse.

I really think we need to drive home the point that feminism is not the same thing as women. It's like saying the KKK speaks for all white people or that the Mafia speak for all Italians.

Their goal was always supremacy, But They didn't recognize it. That's the nature of supremacy movements, the participants never really realize what they have sided with, otherwise they would not join.

I think a lot of women oppose feminism, but then they feel like they have to be feminists, to protect themselves from men who visit subs like this one :)

[Edit] (Note the :) is intended to convey irony/sarcasm)

I agree! That actually goes for many things like you mentioned. Some people need to realize that.

I agree. The only thing I agree with feminism about is that the media needs to stop objectifying women. Men also need to stop getting objectified.

When you first hear feminism it sounds good because the word means equal rights for both male and female. But communism sounds good in theory too. So I guess there’s that.

Same I don’t like feminists

Power to you. You are an example of why we should not go against females but feminists. Thanks for being mature. :)

Hi.

I'm a woman and I would indeed call myself a feminist - however I disagree with many of the topics that modern day feminists choose to highlight as issues

For example I don't think that women should necessarily be entitled to free tampons or pads etc - although I wouldn't turn down free tampons I would rather solve other issues I see as significantly more important.

There are also some huge issues for men that I believe in solving, for example the fact that shorter men are paid less, or that men aren't allowed to talk about their feelings, and the fact they are only given two weeks off when they have a baby, or the fact that men never get custody (partly due to the still massive division of childcare in the home)

These issues to me are just as important as women's issues, if not more, as we as a society aren't openly discussing them yet.

I have never seen feminism as being against men - I see it as society vs entrenched gender inequality.

For example giving men more paternity leave would help men bond with their children, and have better chance at keeping them in the event of custody, it also helps women not be discriminated against, or have a scene set in which she is doing all the childcare - it gives both parties a shot at true equality.

It makes me sad to see that there is a growing hatred for feminism, and it makes me want to blame the people on social media who are tyrannical and inflammatory. They have done more bad than good for us, but please don't judge us all by them, most of us are peaceful and loving people that don't post online and want a better and more equal society for everyone xx
