Honestly, the origin of the word doesn't matter. Sir comes from Sire, a title for a Knight. Malaria comes from the Latin word for "Bad air", even though we know it is not an airborne disease but a vector disease.

It does to me, that's why I replied. Feminism used to be a good ideal, to make women more equal in the world. It has done that. Now a new wave has hijacked the term to include female privilege while they claim the opposite.

Yet the word "egalitarian" (from the French meaning "equal"), from the start and even up to the modern day, still means equality for all, in worth and status.

Anyone tried to re-define or hijack that for themselves?

It's like when someone uses the term "racist" when they paid no attention in school to distinguish between stereotype, prejudice, xenophobia or actual racism.

When Heard accused him of domestic abuse, there were worldwide protests and widespread media coverage demanding him to be removed from Pirates of the Caribbean and the Grindelwald movie. They worked.

When Heard was proven to be the perpetrator, Depp innocent and the crimes done by her against him much more serious, guess what happened? Nothing. Heard got 7 million dollars in the divorce settlement, she faces no charges now, and she is still in the movies she has been selected for. The media didn't cover anything, there are no protests against her and people are still supporting her, as seen above.

Well actually she physically and verbally assaulted johnny .. she once cut off his finger, threw a vodka bottle at his face.. punched him in front of his body guard.. she even kicked him when he was hiding away from her in the bathroom after he accidentally stomped her toes. She doesn't just suck at relationships , she's a maniac.
