So i met this girl on a dating website a day or so ago whom I really seemed to click with, so I set up a meeting this afternoon with her and suggested a location near me (she has no idea where I live). She ended up saying yes and gave me her number without me even asking. I texted her just to confirm the number was her and told her "im looking forward to meeting". 10 minutes later i get a reply: "I am too. But can we meet closer to my place?". The original meet up place and her place are literally not even a 5 min car ride-I have no idea why she would care so much about 5 minutes. When she texted this, i was at work, so i did not see it till 2 hours after or so and just ignored it. She then sent me another text "or we can meet at the original place you suggested. Just let me know".

The fact that she wanted to meet closer to her place because presumably she didnt want to put as much effort turned me off immediately. I ended up writing back to her a couple hours later after i finished work-"let's just try for another day. Im meeting up with some friends afterwards in the north end of the city closer to original meeting place. Let me know what days you're free."

I wake up to a message from her this morning "Ill see you at 3pm at original meeting place :) can we meet by this specific landmark?" I just didnt respond as im no longer interested. She sent a "?" a few hours later and also tried to call me.

How do you guys handle these sorts of situations? This has happened to me a few times in the past and i usually get turned off and just stop contact. Ive been single a long time though, so maybe im going about it the wrong way?
