I used to spend a lot of time in here about 5-6 years ago. I was an endorsed contributor but I had to delete my old username due to doxxing threats. Those were great times and I remember them very fondly. The things I learned in here were life changing and I had the pleasure of passing on tips to help other guys. Now we exist in an age of censorship but this sub copped it all first and you are still standing! Quite an achievement to give so much truth in a world where speaking the truth is now a crime.

  1. You were one of the first subs to be quarantined/ banned for “wrongthink”

  2. You were cutting edge. This knowledge was seKret before you let the cat out of the bag and you DID IT FOR FREE!! You did it for the LOVE of your fellow man

  3. You told the TRUTH! To quote G Orwell “In a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”  We are truly living in a time of universal deceit and this sub right here was one of the canaries in the coal mine.

  4. It was always FREE. This place was never successfully co opted for profit (although there was the Red Man debacle)

  5. askTRP was a resource ahead of its time. Filled with noobs asking for all sorts of advice and it was given for free by guys like Vasily. That sort of consulting service should cost per hour but the very best endorsed contributors gave of their time for free to help sad strangers

  6. I have absolutely no doubt that this site saved many lives. I recall seeing Redpillschool and other senior members helping desperate broken men to make sense of their situation and find a new way. My bet is that there is a lot of people above ground today 100% due to this kindness

  7. There was some absolutely top notch and extremely well written stuff. GLO is an amazing writer and his satire and double meanings were wonderfully instructive and fucking hilarious. Guys like Whisper, Humansockpuppet and Uncle Vasily were sharing absolute gold which was helpful in more ways than just getting laid. Some of GLOs posts were world class and I learned a lot from his style.

Due to my involvement in this sub my life is very different to the way it could have been. Apart from the wonderful HBs I enjoyed spending time with in and out of the bed my personal life also improved dramatically. I kept myself in better shape and always had my pick of high quality women to spend time with. Learning skills like agree and amplify, how to ignore shit tests, maintaining good eye contact and how to control the flow of conversation has enormous applications in business, friendships, family and all other personal interactions. My life is better off physically, emotionally, financially and socially because of my work in this sub. I learned a lot of things and I helped a lot of people. To give is to get.

I can see that the current mods are very vigilant as to what gets posted here and this is very important. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance and this mindset has allowed you to stay relevant, stay pure and to continue to help men. So I hope this post finds you all well and I also hope this post does not break any former or existing rules. I would love to come back from time to time, share some comments and maybe even post a little if people find my insights to be worthwhile. For those of you who are relatively new to this knowledge you need to stick at it and fail forward. We all need to learn to walk before was can learn to run. So a huge congratulations to all of the mods, senior members and endorsed contributors that have made this place so special and helped so many people.

Found redpill since 2014 am 26 now. I just graduated and got a career in a high paying field I enjoy. Got in a LTR for two years before uni for experience god I learned woman weren't shit the hard way. But also I can fuck girls just one day after meeting them now so no regrets. I think the best days are ahead.

I found TRP in 2016. Been lurking here ever since under different usernames. Definitely life changing, but did manage to hit a few RP “milestones.” (Turns out a few things I would later absolutely not care about)

There’s, of course, been shitty posts and griefers here ever since. Has the rate of them gone up a bit? Yeah. But Reddit use in general has been at an all time high.

Some advice to some newbies and lurkers: Don’t do something just because “the redpill” recommends it. The ultimate redpill is being free to do what you want to do. I’ve done a few things suggested here as “redpill achievements” that I otherwise would prefer to not have done in hindsight. That all said, this sub has still been a positive contribution to my life.

Went wayy too far down the dark triad rabbit hole, primarily.

Ending up in relationships where I downright mistreated them into what I could only describe as diet Stöckholm syndrome, getting a girl knocked up, threesomes that probably weren’t worth the hassle, butchering my appearance because “it’s masculine to be ugly bro,” fucking girls for cash and cars, and wasting so much damn time while ruining friendships just to spin as many plates as I could. It was basically a full time job as a sociopathic male prostitute, and was a running joke with one girl. (For perspective, I’m normally highly empathetic and really couldn’t care for sex at this point) Sounds like an incel’s wet dream, and yes the girls themselves were neither unattractive nor too many red flags, but trust me when I say it sunk my mental health to a new low pretending to be a piece of shit to feed their sense of victimhood and keep them sexually involved. Some of the advice here is solid, some of it bad, and others good but can be completely unnecessary depending on the person. Honestly the best thing I’d tell my old self is to digest the awareness this community provides, but make better decisions on my own to preserve my sanity and focus more time on developing an actual, profitable skill independent of others. Pussy nor the ego ain’t always worth the trouble.

This place is like a toolbox, as they say. Take what you need, leave what you don’t, and, like a gun, respect the tool’s capabilities and don’t misuse it. I still see some noobs in asktrp who don’t quite get that TRP is not meant to be treated as a religion.

Very true. And, I do apologize if my reply brought a seemingly negative counter-view to an otherwise positive post.

TRP did get my foot out the door. And a lot of what I did was ultimately to float above homelessness, as I split off from both indoctrinated and absent yet controlling parents to actually gain life experience. Granted, in hindsight was both absurdly excessive and didn’t quite achieve that goal all the time.

But it did confirm a lot of what was Redpill theory for me, and I did gain invaluable skills, experience and cherished memories throughout my misadventures, not to mention some bomb ass cuddles. Better to have lived and learned than not at all. Many things I would not do again, but I got out that cycle relatively unscathed. No regrets.

In some ways, but the biggest problem were the costs of all of this. Costed too much time, too much effort, too much money, isolated me from actually developing close connections when I could’ve used them the most, and too much in other ways. (Complete lack of insurance coverage included) All things in moderation they say, and there certainly wasn’t in my case. And with no safety net and a lot of drug use, it was a very unstable way to live, which would go on to exacerbate already pre-existing mental health conditions.

I’m honestly not sure, considering my past self’s circumstances were already dubious enough. Most prudent message for me to know though would be that employing all of this would not fix any of the problems I initially set out to fix in the first place.

Edit: I would, in hindsight, absolutely tell myself to not take a Machiavellian, “fake it till you make it” approach too far. I got to a point I did not recognize myself in the facade I was living, and that, inevitably, is why I sacrificed the situation to start over eventually, as it was completely incongruent to my true character.

this is something I can really relate to in my early thirties especially. Instead of using trp to get woman to flock to me. I simply use it to discern social situations and gauge weather or not I even have a chance with a girl. I definitely don't go out of my way AT ALL to try to impress a woman. Or even say things that might impress them (unless im slippin). My GOAL when I go out for the night isn't to get laid. It's to make sure the people I'm with, and interested in HAVE FUN. That way im never disappointed, I always have a good time, and thats the best way to plant seeds for the future imo

For me the big one is "spinning plates".

I'm older, I'm not super focused on sex all the time, and I'd rather have one woman I can rely on and **get along with** and have great sex with, than trying to manage 2 or 3 plates that maybe I don't like that much.

I tried spinning plates a few years back and I just didn't have the time, the energy to deal with needy women, nor the motivation. I've got other shit to do. I'd rather do serial monogamy, with the occasional overlap and the occasional fling.

I can always find a new woman to replace an old one, that's not a problem. But it's literally impossible to replace the time I've wasted on women that weren't worth the time I spent on them.

"Spinning plates", for me, seems like a young man's game (I know ... Vasily and some others ... I know ...).

The advantage of dating multiple women simultaneously is that you can get a few years worth of dating in in a much shorter amount of time. Parallel vetting. That plus your balls stay empty.

The disadvantages that if you like one more than the others and decide that you're going to be in a relationship with just her breaking up with three or four women all at once is not much fun lol

When I get into a more ... committed ... relationship with one over another, I'll just keep seeing the other/s until they naturally break off.

What I do on a Thursday night is none of my Saturday girl's business, and I've had good luck the last few years finding Saturday girls who respect that I like to go out "by myself" other nights of the week. LOL they seem to forget how I used to only meet them Thursday nights.

I'm always on the lookout and still do "first dates", and being a not-gay, mid '50s professional in a liberal area filled with married older men, gays and beta males is surprisingly attractive to women.

It's just a question of prioritizing where I spend my energy.

Just between the rona making everyone depressed, trying to keep my business in business, and getting the bills paid, I don't have the energy to babysit two or three women at a time. Maybe when sanity comes back to my area.

2015 was the year I found this subreddit. Absolutely amazing. I still find good stuff here and there when I visit every so often (I’ve internalized most of TRP at this point), but it’s a mere shadow of what it was like in ‘15.

I was one of the young men TRP saved. I still have a long ways to go, but at least I know how to get where I want and accurately troubleshoot issues on my journey.

I still haven’t forgotten the post from last year about some guy masturbating his ego because he got a haircut, and was trying to convince everyone that you need to be ugly because that’s the masculine norm and that only women are meant to be aesthetically appealing. That post went to the moon. Unfortunately not the first time that same idiotic idea has been shared here before. (Protip: a man wears what he wants; you can literally be dressed like a woman and still swoon girls, arguably moreso for having the balls to do it)

There’s definitely a certain type of guys that end up in this sub quite often, usually to post with no actual wisdom of their own, that brings an air of tryhard machismo-ism that can actually be extremely detrimental to many of the learning newbies that discover this place, and end up taking that garbage at face value. And I’ve learned, the hard way, about whether some of these ideas work or not by testing them out in my own naivety. Newsflash, it reeks of scarcity as it comes from a place of deprivity and feeling the need to be overcompetitive for resources. Or as the layman calls it, overcompensating.

As a general rule of thumb, if it sounds like a quick fix, it’s most likely bullshit. If it’s extremely click baitey sounding, it may be flawed or otherwise useless vague information, quite possibly bullshit, in an attempt to gain karma or status. (Which is a hotbed for financial gain as you have an audience of lost, confused and/or maturing men looking for knowledge that you can market “answers” to) Or if it’s just a lot of OP talking about and stroking himself off, they’re generally phishing for validation and most likely unintentionally preaching bullshit.

There’s some - a lot, actually - good content to be found here, but filtering for it at best can require at least a little bit of an experienced eye, and a bit of a grounded frame.

Found you guys about 2 years ago. By TRP terms, I am 50 shades of blue, and then some more, although I got a disgusting reality check from my own mother who divorced my father, and during the process threw me and my brother (figuratively) under the BUS for her own gain. I swore to myself I will never get married.

TRP opened my eyes in several ways - I really have to get in a shape, and I generally need to work on myself, if I ever hope to get (properly) laid. It is hard to write it like that, especially as I am closing to being 30 years old, but that's the reality for me. I am still coming to terms with the fact that in the past, I was focused on wrong things when it comes to girls. And some of the FRs I read gave me an opportunity to cringe really hard about how I dealt with situations around girls in the past.

It is all about intention. Firstly don’t obsess over being a muscle god, that is a long term goal. Just make sure you are not too fat or too skinny. Seems like you already learned the “don’t put the pussy on a pedestal” lesson - that is a big one so good work there. When dating it is all about eye contact and kino. Fail forward. Lightly touch her fingers or hold her hand. If she pulls away, regroup, establish some rapport and try again. If she still pulls away, bail and next. How to get laid like a warlord is a classic. It is not 100% accurate but it covers a lot of territory. My favourite post of all times was “Managing your bitches” by Human Sock Puppet. An absolute masterpiece. When you are playing with that many women at a time, things get out of hand fast. That post saved me a lot of grief.

For now and for as long as I can I will hold my tongue on this sub when it comes to politics.

It is really bad, I mean really bad. For anyone who cannot see what is coming next then they have their heads in the sand. It could be just around the corner but in certain western jurisdictions free thought and free speech will soon result in a jail term (in fact it is very easy to make the argument that we are already at that point and from here things will get dramatically worse). For me there was an internal need to return to this sub as one would return to their roots.

Even a small amount of light can show the way in the darkness. One lit candle can light someone else’s candle. Your gravitas and solid reasoning are a breath of air in a world which is submerged in insanity. We are living in clown world. GLO posted extensively on “clown world” when I used to live here. His words were prophetic

I have been brooding over this as well. I could write an entire thesis on what is occurring and why (the loss of our shared ethnic and cultural identity, the loss of our shared understanding of Western and American exceptionalism, etc). Those things have been happening for a while though, and used to be part of a vibrant debate.

What I am seeing now concerns me far more though, and that is the growing asymmetry of mutual understanding combined with a refusal to even hear the other side of a discussion (let alone weigh and consider it). The principle of charity in philosophy/rhetoric has completely evaporated in public discourse. This has caused people to retreat to their own echo-chambers/ideological enclaves, which only serves to augur them in on their extreme beliefs even more. We're witnessing a Balkanization of virtual territory across ideological lines.

Frankly, I am shocked this subreddit even still exists. It helped me tremendously when I came to it in 2015/16, but I think it is bound to be purged at some point like all the others who dared to go against the woke narrative.

I would be less concerned if that was where it ended, but we have seen politics now spread like a virus into all parts of our society. You used to be able to watch TV without overt political messaging taking place. In sports, the political messaging used to begin and end with the Pledge of Allegiance/Star Spangled Banner. Corporations and businesses are now picking one side of the discussion to protect their bottom line.
Politics used to be relegated to arenas where people who wanted to engage in it went. Now, you cannot avoid it; and heaven help you if you take the wrong stance on a topic that the mob is fervent about. I honestly believe this sub may survive some political censorship. Perhaps it’s my feed, but with the exception of certain few endorsed contributors, I haven’t seen as many political posts or comments. Most of the content seems to just stick to sexual strategy and self improvement, and, like Christian end-times prophecies, the deletion of this sub has continually been predicted for years.

My best prediction, though, will simply be the sub’s degradation into low quality shit posts and market phishing, as the sub is slowly abandoned by older members who grew up and replaced by the next generation of lost and misguided boys. Who knows what the future holds though.

Just want to share, I discovered this sub when I was 18-19, still, put a girl on a pedestal, I thought you guys view were too extreme, I can be in the middle, etc. Nope, i was wrong, everything you guys mentioned came true, lift, got few girls spin plates, got comfortable ( like you guys mentioned before don't get too comfortable with an LTR ) , fallout happen, I worked my ass off, and manage to get a job and studying in the United States now, It all starts from lifting when I was 18-19. Thanks for sharing and to everyone else here. This post hit me just right. I was a broken man a year ago. I've struggled with anxiety and depression and self hate my whole life. I finally started to fix that. It took me to such depths that I wanted to give up often. I've spent the last couple years doing that hard work of healing and evolving. This past week I finally started to believe I have changed. The things I have learned here in this sub have helped me make these changes. I just had one of the best weeks of my life. I finally found my self worth and myself. I now have the confidence to put my true self out there and not care how I'm received. I care more about being true to who I am. To see the results of all that hard work, to see myself out there crushing it with women, with conversation, my job, with my fellow man, it's unreal. To know that feeling of worth is not from anyone else, it's from me, has changed my life. I cannot believe where I have taken myself in life knowing where I came from.

I never saw Peterson as the true red pill but I thought he could be a tangential/almost red pill because of that enemy of my enemy logic.

This sub has actually always been used for cash grabs too -the difference is they gave a lot of free shit along the way.

Lastly this sub is always gonna be conservative to some extent politically but it got worse when trump entered the scene. I hope now that he's gone we can challenge each other past our political boundaries and get to the information of real value.

There's really good information here don't subscribe to a culture war or political faction. Just read, take risks, and learn and if you feel like breaking any of the golden rules do it- because this doesn't all work the same.
