Well as to the possible age difference, I believe that up to 5 years is fine. And I find that men are not creeped out by slightly younger women. Good luck!

Man's age / 2 + 7 is a good rule of thumb. Puts you at dating up to around 22 years right now. That's pretty reasonable.

The fact that you're in DC should actually make things pretty easy, since a lot of gatherings there filter by personal views on various issues. If you're looking for men that are interested in traditional marriage, predisposed to monogamy, and have an aversion to sexual impropriety, go to events sponsored by organizations that correlate highly with those views. Any traditional Christian organization is an obvious choice, but if you don't want to be confined by a narrow religious cross-section of the population, anything to do with the Pro-Life movement or the NRA will have a large amount of men likely to hold the values you're after.

Strangely, there's another factor I've come across in sociological literature that correlates highly with a preference for monogamy and an aversion to sexual infidelity: a preference for used cars over new cars.

I don't know how you can work that into your search, though.

I don’t know about DC, but even in my small city in a small state, there’s tons of stuff to do. Like dancing classes, or stand up comedy classes, Toastmaster events (this is a good one, public speaking, they are everywhere look it up seriously!). Stuff like that, there’s cool interesting shit going on all over the place. Bars and clubs and parties are for kids. The adults get out there and experience life in all sorts of areas, and there is plenty of stuff out there where high quality motivated people are learning and experiencing new and interesting activities. Just gotta do some googling.

I think a lot of quality men age 22-25 will be skeeved out by the idea of dating a teenager. Especially since drinking is such a big part of socializing in DC.

Focus the next 3 years on improving yourself and enjoying life. If a great guy hasn't come along by then he surely will shortly after.

Hey I live in DC (actually Arlington). Yep a lot of freaks in DC for sure. I wouldn't want to be a girl on the dating market here.

I'm a mid/late 20s guy (6'1") making it in my career and yes, you're at a disadvantage, but you don't "deserve" an alpha. Life is cruel. Guys work hard to make it and it would make sense that they get something out of that.
