Whenever I receive compliments on my physique I don’t feel good as I did in the beginning of my lifting journey.

I think the phrase “emotions are determined by actions, not words” easily explains this.

I feel like compliments don’t really have an huge impact on your self confidence. Actions do.

If people turned their head when you pass It’s would be much better than if you received a verbal comment such as “dude your physique is amazing”.

Same thing counts with women. It would be a real compliment if she touched your body instead of her saying “wow your muscles”.

What you think? I came to the conclusion that verbal compliments often make me feel bad instead of good. I know it’s so stupid but I often think these compliments aren’t sincere
