If only more women were like Yvaine from Stardust

Too bad she mostly exists in fantasy and rarely anywhere else:

Yvaine : Tell me about Victoria, then.

Tristan : Well, she... she... There's nothing more to tell you.

Yvaine : The little I know about love is that it's unconditional. It's not something you can buy.

Tristan : Hang on! This wasn't about me buying her love. This was a way for me to prove to her how I felt.

Yvaine : Ah... And what's she doing to prove how she feels about you?

if that yvaine were realistic she'd either call him a simp and an incel to shame him, encourage him to go further, or tell him she deserves his efforts more

But that's what makes her exceptional - she transcends "realistic" women. She told him what he needed to know and she did it in a gentle, empathetic and empowering way.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
