If women striked from work for one year, and then men the following year, which gender would suffer more, and why?

Often we hear about women threatening to go on strike. Not sure what that means, other than not doing something they normally do. So, i wanted to know which gender would be most impacted by the workforce strike of an entire gender for one year. For example, while the men are on strike, there would still be female police officers working, just not males. Who would suffer more and why?

Take into account the fact that most childcare providers and SAHPs are women, if all women went on strike then any men with children would have more difficulty being able to work.

Many men do not have kids or do not live with their kids and the ones that do would have the wife to take care of the kids cause the wife is on strike. This is not a big problem

My assumption is that the wife is on strike from taking care of the kids

[–]FastBananaViral 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

The thread referred to the workforce, taking care of kids is not regarded as being in the workforce

Exactly. Feminism is desperately trying to push this idea that women who make a choice to have a child should then somehow cause businesses to bear a financial burden to provide care for a child that the business had no hand in forcing the woman to create.

you assume the wife is an employee of the husband . you seixst pig

SAHP isn't a job. I'm not working nights and weekends because I have kids.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (16 children) | Copy Link

Most SAHPs would disagree

And flat earthers think we live on a big disk with an ice wall. It doesn't make it true.

LOL have you ever been a parent? Feedings and diaper changes aren't just an 8 hour a day job. Managing teenagers isn't even just that.

[–]BitsAndBobs304 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

as if that could compare with no water lol

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Can't go to work for the water company if there's nowhere to take your kid because all the teachers are on strike and your wife refuses to get out of bed.

[–]BitsAndBobs304 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

you take the kid to work. or leave him at home alone or grandparents or whatever. beats dying by dehyration or dysentery, dont you think?

sahp is not counted in the workforce

The prisoner dilemna would ensure it wouldn't work even if all people wanted to.

To me it's not about the sexes, but who is working and who isn't.

Men on strike would be collapse and a Walking Dead scenario. Women on strike? There would be problems, of course, mostly in healthcare (nurses). But men alone would be able to run critical infrastructure and get enough time to adapt.

This is like asking if Russia has more nukes or if America has more nukes. If both sides launch EVERYONE'S DEAD, JIM!!! What you're suggesting is a war with no winners. The best way is not to play.

[–]I_Am_Health 0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy Link

Nukes do not exist

[–]RatDontPanicAverage Unfrustrated Chump 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

An entire gender ceasing to work is analogous to America or Russia launching all their nukes.

[–]I_Am_Health 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Powerful bombs exist, yes. Not nukes. Not fallout radiation. Look at Nagasaki full of life.

A whole gender going on strike for a year is Armageddon. Clearly you don't understand how much work both men and women do to keep society running.

[–]Best_Illustrator_137 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Would probably be the worst days to be a hermaphrodite..but I think if it was women it’d definitely be a problem (mostly in healthcare) but if it was men there’s be societal collapse cause men basically run the infrastructure of our societies.

[–]EviessVeralan 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It would hurt both although this would also be true if men went on a strike too. The economy would suffer and childcare would be in very high demand.

[–]lostwanderer28 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Men would suffer more.

Basically, no income = no relationship.

Basically, no income = no relationship.

Women wont have an income either.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
