Since the modern beta bucks can't afford a house in a nice neighborhood and doesn't make enough money where the woman can just stay at home and take care of the children women would rather just be alone with bunch of cats than tolerate a beta bucks who constantly nags her for sex but doesn't keep his end of the bargain of providing.

The best he can do is an apartment and go 50/50 with a woman. Which isn't all that appealing for a lot of women.
