neoteny is the reason why ''average'' women look better than average men

this is why men with softer, slightly neotenous faces (prettyboys, models etc.) get rated as way above average even when they just have features 5/10 women do.

prettyboys, models

These guys are not neotenous (neotenous round face = cutecel), merely metrosexual superstimuli where you justaxpose exaggerated masculine features like height, v-shape, jawline against the rest being "soft" aesthetic to make it approachable and less threatening, thus easier to sexualize for women. This has always been a bit of a fetish for teenage demographic, hollywood and more recently kpop.

v-jaw or oval narrow jaw isn't necessarily just ''masculine'' it's also the ideal for females

very rounded jaw is feminine and not always neotenous=estrogen causes more rounded, lush features square jaw is masculine and never really neotenous, triangular jaw is androgynous and neotenous, it's why heart shape is the most common in both sexes in anime.

it's why heart shape is the most common in both sexes in anime.

For anime, the canon aesthetic is cat face (cute, neotenous) and wolf face (masculine v-shape) trace lines. Those are used interchangeably depending on trope the character is pigeonholed into. Yandere will be masc face, whereas klutz moeblob will be overwhelmingly feminine.

That said, anime is pretty far removed IRL. If neoteny really were a thing as you say, it would most notably manifest in petite height and round faces, both are sexually uninteresting to women because its a primary neotenous characteristic.

i think triangle is more neotenous than round, i notice women's faces round up after 25-30's(also when they get curvier) whereas children of both sexes have ovalish narrow jaws(v jaw as you will, obviously not sharp as it is on an adult but you get what i mean)

i would say this is more heartshaped than rounded, but eh.

there's also neotenous traits not attractive in either sex though, men will not like flat chest, narrow hips or shorter limbs compared to torso.

It's true that it is universally fetishized more because it is more aggressive, thus attention grabbing in showbiz. Most notably, female fashion models transitioned from neotenous (normal height, marilyn monroe trope) in the 70s and 80s to masculine (tall, jawline, exaggerated angular features like v-shape) and same trend is visible in most of popular media.

rip koko#11

anyway i noticed the opposite for some women that manage to keep good weight their face gets narrower and bonier

No. Pretty boys aren’t boneless. They have good Zygos and mandibular forward growth when it comes to their bones jaw (although it might be narrow). But they are carried by their soft features which is what makes them pretty boys. Lips, nose, eyes, hair.

A boneless man is a subhuman, and a subhuman has no appeal to any woman.

a lot of guys are ''boneless'' but carried off by cuteness at least among younger girls

They have good underlying facial structure, just not super pronounced.

I'm starting to think women actually want a woman that doesn't bleed and is somewhat useful a cute jobless pretty boy is one-step up from a puppy.

prettiness isn't gendered.

Oh ok

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
