whites are not objectively more attractive than ethnics, but humans will always prefer the lightest colors in humans

brown is a less preferred color in general according to surveys about fav colors. even for inanimate objects, it's less preferred. animals with darker fur are even reported to be less likely to be adopted. not only is this preference universal, but it's so deeply ingrained that it is not even limited to social hierarchies.

brighter colors also just stand out more in general. this is confirmed by women getting tons more attention when they're blonde as opposed to brunette, even if they change nothing else. fast food restaurants use bright colors like red, yellow, orange to trigger the human appetite as opposed to purple, black, or brown.

this doesn't mean that whites are objectively more attractive; what humans like usually deviates from objectivity these days. but it does explain how it was so easy for them to promote themselves as ideal mates and why it was so easily accepted by most non-white people.

a dark person is just as likely to have desirable features, but that's not what people see from a distance...so it's not part of the first impression.

my main advice for ethnics: one thing dark skin has over pale/light skin is its shininess. i'd suggest using this to one's advantage. also wear bright colors and patterns to stand out.

As the whitest of the white (a redhead) why isn't everyone chasing me?

[–]niptuckbubble -1 points0 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

you must live in a predominantly white country where people are used to people who look like you. it stands out more when you go to a country with fewer whites.

also, an advantage=/=guarantee of desirability.

I think white women prefer blonde, brown or black haired white guys over gingers. Most celebrities or influencers i see are brown/blonde haired

I think it's partly because of high contrast? Low contrast isn't seen as striking

[–]niptuckbubble 0 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy Link

i think whites are pickier/more objective when assessing each other's beauty because the light halo doesn't work as much on them.

[–]puririnpa 0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy Link

Yes, i noticed they prefer somewhat either somewhat darker haired whites or blonde whites though.

If my theory of high contrast is correct, highest contrast would be black hair, white skin and blue eyes, how well does this combo do

[–]niptuckbubble 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

by that logic, wouldn't black people have the highest contrast in the world with whites of the eyes and dark skin? either that or blue eyes/black skin would be the most sought after phenotype.

[–]puririnpa 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Dark skin would hide the facial features a bit, white skin draws attention to it, which can make you either look prettier or uglier depending on your features.

That being said darker skin can be good if it's a healthy tone imo,it's mostly greyish tones that look weird to me.

i don't think dark skin hides features to the point where it makes much of a difference, unless the person is a rare nearly jet black color.

you get superman

[–]inkwell43 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

are you a landwhale or something? (Not that this would even have a dramatic effect on the amount of guys trying to fuck you or anything.)

[–]Fit-Faithlessness149 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm a dude, that makes me less desirable than most land whales

It’s not really about skin color. It’s because white just looks better/have better features compared to other races. Ethnics who are considered attractive usually have the same features as whites

[–]niptuckbubble 0 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy Link

it is definitely about skin and hair color. pale/fair skin has been a preference in many cultures for centuries. this is documented.

define "better features."

[–]RatDontPanicAverage Unfrustrated Chump -1 points0 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

C'mon everyone knows "white" features are better! They're just better because... well... um... well just because!! /s

[–]puririnpa 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

It's honestly literally just status, you saw a rise of popularity of black men for a while among jazz/rap era, and a rise of asian men is happening now around k-drama/anime era.

[–]SilentFroggy 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

Many Asians make themselves look more pale yet still get mogged by whites. Whites can also have dark golden skin tones and will still look more attractive.

[–]niptuckbubble 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

...

define better features

[–]SilentFroggy 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Nose, eyes, cheeks… etc. Ethnic features can be unattractive. Especially the nose and chubby cheeks

[–]puririnpa 0 points1 point  (6 children) | Copy Link

If it was just coloring and nothing else, wouldn't a japanese guy be technically more desired than a black guy? But is not the case. (albeit for females yea, the lightest the better)

It's mostly just status, american media had the highest reach to the whole world, and also just colonialism long lasting effects changed the whole beauty standards and genetic makeups of of a lot of cultures.

[–]niptuckbubble 0 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy Link

i don't think color is the only factor. however, japanese men are above black men in the racial hierarchy. they have way fewer negative stereotypes.

[–]puririnpa 0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy Link

If you look at who gets the most sex, it's probably either black or white while japanese in usa notoriously doesn't get much. Recent wave of K-media has helped that phenotype though, which confirms my theory about it's mostly about having status halo.

[–]niptuckbubble 0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy Link

black men get a lot of sex in the US because they are heavily outnumbered by black women. look up any hbcu stat to confirm this.

[–]puririnpa 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

But either way regardless, why is a japanese or korean dude struggling in usa by this logic, literally the lightest you can get without having caucasoid admixture

[–]niptuckbubble 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

they struggle because there are way more white men in the US. no one wants the 2nd lightest when they're in the land of whiteys. lol.

but when these pale east asians go to SEA or India where there are darker asians, they become kings. there's even an epidemic of half japanese and half korean kids in the Philippines because the men there are seen in a good light.

[–]puririnpa 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

They do it in east europe and africa to a lesser extent

[–]puririnpa 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy Link

I think it's more of a status thing than an objective thing but

White skin, especially with dark hair makes your facial features very obvious so you either become very obviously pretty handsome or very ridiculously ugly. Try giving various faces very pale skin and very dark hair to see what happens

[–]niptuckbubble 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Try giving various faces very pale skin and very dark hair to see what happens

it'd look extra weird on black people and aboriginals.

by preferred i mostly meant attention grabbing, but whether it's considered a good kind of attention is a status thing.

[–]puririnpa 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

By this logic highest contrast is black hair white skin blue eyes, how well does this do?

[–]inkwell43 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

animals with darker fur are even reported to be less likely to be adopted.

Me petting my black cat right now be like 🥺🥺🥺🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

Yup

this doesn't mean that whites are objectively more attractive; what humans like usually deviates from objectivity these days. but it does explain how it was so easy for them to promote themselves as ideal mates and why it was so easily accepted by most non-white people.

There's a case to be made that white people are only considered universally attractive because it's a mental holdover from colonialism, and while there's some merit to that, there is also a theory that lighter skin is perceived to be more attractive than darker skin because it shows a social class origin that is not coming from someone who performs outdoor manual labor in the sun, and is therefore perceived to be of higher class origin. This phenomenon wasn't just observed in non- white societies but ALSO white European societies in the 1600s-1900s where women of higher class origin would LITERALLY wear a full dress, a hat, gloves, and hold A LITERAL UMBRELLA on a NORMAL SUNNY DAY, just to stay pale, and not get a tan. Tanner/ darker skin was perceived as someone coming from manual labor outdoor background, and therefore seen as lower class. You could make the argument that this phenomenon plays into human beings natural perception of social order within a society, where women because of their hypergamy, will try their darndest to mate with men they percieve to be on the top of the social order because they subconciously think that higher class= good genes and probably enough resources to raise children.

People don't seem to realize that tan golden skin being found attractive in white societies, is a RECENT phenomenon.

Whatever the case maybe, I can tell you right now that I did NOT undergo any brainwashing in order to have to find some cute redhead Irish looking girl more attractive than a literal Australian aboriginal 😂😂😂

a dark person is just as likely to have desirable features, but that's not what people see from a distance...so it's not part of the first impression.

Yeah I guess

my main advice for ethnics: one thing dark skin has over pale/light skin is its shininess. i'd suggest using this to one's advantage. also wear bright colors and patterns to stand out.

As a brown skin ethnic, this is retarded, bright clothes on darker skin looks retarded, atleast on me that is. I prefer to wear darker shades so I don't stand out.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
