“Either way his penis was inside me so it’s rape”

[–]bigez526 103 points104 points  (7 children) | Copy Link

When a man has sex with a drunk woman, he raped her. When a woman has sex with a drunk man, he raped her.

Feminist logic...

When a drunk woman masturbates she’s raping herself.

[–]tipying_mistakes 23 points24 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Nah because women can’t rape

[–]Payness0826 22 points23 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

In that case, when she’s masturbating, the closest male in her proximity is now the rapist.

Edit: grammar

Yes, accurate

Happy cake day

Found the post, it's fucking sick that person is up voted still but there's enough other upvoted people calling them out for being a rape apologist.

These people are like the female version of creepy neckbeards

Creepy legbeards

I don't get people who mess with others when they're too drunk or sleepy to be into what you want to do.

If someone obviously isn't capable of performing, tuck them into bed and leave them be.

Most assent, at least.

enby transfeminist

At this point they're literally just making up words

[–]Heterodynist 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

They definitely ARE just making them up…but what the Hell is the point? It’s just to claim someone else isn’t being sensitive enough. It’s nothing to do with precision of language, and everything to do with selfish desire to maintain control of every conversation through the implication someone else isn’t being sensitive enough. I call bullshit on the whole sleazebag attitude. I don’t have to learn every made-up word someone else chooses to call themselves by, just to have a conversation.

I have not read the article…purely because I can’t click on the link. Maybe someone would be kind enough to type that complicated link in or copy it from elsewhere. I’m in a hurry at the moment and can’t go searching for it.

What absolutely disgusts me is when women claim they are incapable of being rapists. Ironically it’s very UN-feminist to say someone who is female can’t rape. Feminist Theory is essentially founded on the believe women can do absolutely anything men can do…and that they have agency in their own lives. If so, they are OBVIOUSLY capable of rape, domestic abuse, physical abuse, etc, just like men are capable of.

Along with the equality feminists insist they have with men, comes the responsibility men have to do things the right way, and the possibility of doing them the wrong way. You can’t have responsibility without the possibility that you might do the wrong thing. If men can rape, then women can also rape. If men can be physically abusive, so can women. There is no two ways about this. Any double standard they set up is inevitably undone by their own insistence that their be no double standard for women. If there can be no double standard and all people are equal, then no one is “more equal” than anyone else.

Absolutely no logic can ever support their argument, when they are claiming to be equals but not taking equal responsibility. As for my personal beliefs, I have no problem at all saying women are equal to men in all things (even while being inherently different biologically), but that means they OBVIOUSLY are capable of all the same wrongs. If women can be raped then they can also rape. Otherwise the same standard of the impossibility of women being able to rape men can be applied to claim it’s impossible men can ever rape women. The logic is exactly the same. If equality exists then either no one is capable of raping anyone else, or everyone is capable of committing rape. The double standard can’t exist for men if it doesn’t exist for women.

Lesbian couples have reported cases of rape, where a woman very clearly violated and penetrated her partner. How exactly is that not just as serious as someone being raped by a man? Any time someone is forced against their will to be involved in sex, that is rape. Yes, women are every bit as capable of forcing sex as men are. Having a penis isn’t a prerequisite for being able to rape someone, even penetratively. If a woman forced sex on a passed out man, that is rape. Just as there is no right way to have sex with a drunken, passed out woman who cannot give you consent, so too is there no way for a drunken man to give a woman consent. It’s either EQUAL, or we have to stop pretending the term rape has any meaning as a word. If women cannot be guilty of rape, then neither can men. If the word rape is exclusively used for attacking men, then it’s pure bigotry and bias that it is used at all. It cannot be a state of equality when women cannot commit the same crimes as men.

All equality comes with equal responsibility. If women can vote then they must also be able to commit voter fraud. If women can drive then they can also commit felony reckless driving. If women can be considered as equals in all matters of interpersonal relationships and sex, then they must also be capable of committing the wrongs that come with those situations. They can be abusers, rapists, and they can commit sexual assault.

This isn’t just my opinion, fortunately, it’s also the legal opinion that has set the current precedent under the law. Women have been successfully prosecuted for rape under the law of many countries. The problem is that it’s underreported when women rape, and it’s not taken seriously by 99% of those who are involved in law enforcement and those social organizations who are supposed to help prevent rape. It needs to be taken seriously, or else we need to stop taking any rape allegations seriously whether they come from a man or a woman, because THAT is equality.

A google search using "amy schumer thoughtcatalog.com rape" brings it up at the top of the search results.

Thank you…I’ll check it out.

I don't have enough information here to say she or him did something wrong. Never even heard of this story before.

No one can fully give consent to have sex with Amy Schumer, being within 5 feet of her is automatically a victim

[–]Random_french_gal 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

If the person she was with was drunk, and they had sex, she raped him.

Plain and simple. Anyone who argues otherwise need a little education on consent, or rather, the lack of consent in this situation.

Now I know why I never liked her...

I bet the other comments were

"I wish i was that guy" i bet

But hopefully Its sympathy for the guy and hating on Amy

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
