They don't like these stories because the rescuers are overwhelmingly male. So it's in contradiction with the image they were trying to give of us.

It doesn't fit with their propaganda of the weak, cowardly, selfish, empathetic, violent, abusive male.

Thing that get me, is in a life or death situation I have no doubt that they'd expect their boyfriends to jump to their rescue or sacrifice themselves... but then they advocate to turn men into scared, little worms.

That’s the thing they’ll never admit, they’re strong and independent when things are easy but as soon as things get a bit tough and dirty they quickly fall back on gender roles.

they change their arguments to fit the moment. sometimes men are selfish, sometimes men are weak, sometimes men are overly praised. but they always say one thing; men are bad. but also that women are just as strong as men, which contradicts the "men are weak!" argument

There are nice and not so nice guys. And a firefighter can be a rapist too. What’s your point??

I'll probably get down voted for saying this but this doesn't seem like a feminism issue to me, more just a bystander helping people who needed it

Yh I agree

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
