We shouldn't be teaching young male kids not to rape women, we should be holding both genders at equal responsibility by teaching both genders that rape is wrong and by teaching young women about the cause of rape and how they can avoid being raped.

So, recently I found myself arguing with a girl in my class about a particular statement she made on her Instagram, she said that we should be teaching all young males not to rape and we shouldn't be blaming women at all. I very strongly disagree with this because it's very fucking hypocritical for the lack of a better term Men and women don't rape people, rapists rape people. we shouldn't be telling all kids not to rape and exposing them to that at a young age. The reason is that rapists aren't exactly mentally sane, obviously rape is the worst thing imaginable so the people who perform rape aren't like the rest of us they don't understand logic. If you tell a rapist "hey, it's not nice to rape stop doing it" he or she will still rape because they aren't mentally sane. Instead of targeting young males, we should be teaching young kids of both genders that rape is wrong. We should be also teaching young females that excessively showing skin in public, going out late at night alone, and getting blind drunk in pubs increases their changes of being raped. I think people should be able to wear what they want but, unfortunately our society is full of rapists, murderers, and mentally insane people. Think of it logically, if men and women dress responsibility in public and don't go to sketchy areas alone in the dark, rape cases would dwindle because the rapists won't attack them. Rapists are weak people they won't attack someone in public. I also think that if someone wants to wear what they want, they should so it in a safe place with people they trust.
