I’ve heard about feminists complaining about how most famous artists are men. From what I understand is many years ago, women were barefoot and pregnant so maybe they possibly didn’t have time to do stuff like that. Idk. Even if that is true, why does it matter that most male artists are men? They’re just artists that.... happen to be men like Picasso. Doesn’t mean that men/ women are better or worse at art because art is very subjective. It’s just that these people are the icons of an activity that many people like myself ( a woman ) aspire to be like. And further more, if these feminists want more famous female artists, then why don’t they become one? When people think of art, it’s easy to see why they’d think about the Mona Lisa just as it would be for something like piloting and Amelia Earhart. These feminists say that you shouldn’t discriminate on gender, but then they flip around and do the exact same thing when it really doesn’t even matter. Personally I’ve heard about more male scientists and more female opera singers but I just don’t get why it matters so much!
