I say it everytime: you can only be a feminist in a 1st world country. I was raised in a 3rd world country, been living in the US for almost 2 decades. Comparing the struggles and strength of the women in the 3rd world to western women are night and day. Yet western women want to shout nonstop about how strong, brave, oppressed, and amazing they are. It’s laughable. They’ve become misandrists, but also hate women who make choices they don’t agree with.

The women in Iran are showing what strength, struggle, and endurance really is.

Iranian women have more strength, integrity and bravery then ANY feminist in the US today

To their credit though, this is one of the few cases where basically everyone supports the protestors regardless of political or religious stance.

As an Iranian even I don't know what my people are fighting for . Is it freedom or just to not wear hijab ,or are we fighting to change the regime or to just force the government to help the people economically. LITERALLY no one knows

What those women in Iran are doing isn’t even “feminism” as we think of it today. They’re literally fighting against a fascist government.

I support them 100%.

I dont like the over emphasis on women because thats what lead to the feminism we have in the West.
I see whats happening in Iran portraid as ''women fighting and being strong'' and ''only women are oppressed in the middle east''.
While in reality the hard fight for those women rights are being mostly done by men, men are the ones for the most part getting beaten up and put into jail for those women, so MEN are the ones that deserve the credit for it.
I can already see after women rights win over there how they will just keep shitting on men completly ungreatfully not giving any credit whatsoever to the men that help them get there, just like it happened here.
And men are also oppressed in differnet ways in the middle east, men also have to follow strict gender roles in the middle east, men are also disposable in the middle east, i dotn like the portrait of ''only woman have a bad time in the middle east'', that is what it leads to the cancer feminism we have here.

It's a police brutality issue, estimated at least 30,000 Iranian men have been brutalized by police in the past ten years...compared to a paltry 400 women. So, in this particular case, feminism should be taken out back, and shot. It's not a women's issue, it's an Iranian society issue. Notice that over 80% of the deaths resulting from the skirmish have been men, and 100% of injuries from protesters have been men. Essentially, a societal issue is being made out to be the fault of men. Just more gynocentrism, that somewhat moralizes the rather barbaric actions of the regime.

Then again, religion is always full of shit, and I'd generally support any efforts to separate religion from national politics...unless said effort has even the slightest whiff of feminism.

Feminism has been about female supremacy/misandry day 1, therefore it benefits women at men's expense. The whole "we just want equality" and end "the oppression of women" are myths. This type of feminism you're talking about is what directly led to the type of feminism that whines about stuff like mansplaining. It's a movement that needs to be destroyed everywhere, including in muh "misogynistic" 3rd world countries.
