It sure is something to see a woman be aggressively hateful about a male behavior which is tangential to the topic. If a woman is uncomfortable doing something, she's given protections and treated delicately so as to avoid a lawsuit. If a man is uncomfortable doing something - fuck you, stop making WOMEN uncomfortable?

I don't believe that all men have the same problem, or even a majority of men do like this. Most of us, in a position to mentor someone, realize we'll be spending a lot of time with them, imparting knowledge and even secrets. We'll want someone qualified, deeply interested, and even committed to a cause - whether that's to rake in the money or provide outstanding customer service or whatever. Do you wanna take a chance with your business and livelihood on someone that could interpret (read willfully misinterpret) that mentorship as grooming for a sexual partner and ruin your life?

Women, like this, do not understand science, as in: Cause and Effect, Action and Reaction. And, in a more social sense: actions have consequences. The me2 movement has its consequences... it forced men to become extremely cautious and protective, not only for their career but also their status/social standing that they worked so long and hard to build. But, thus triggered women displays/proves she has no command over her emotions. Yeah. I'm gonna jeopardize my career, my social standing and gamble those things away on the slightest chance I might be fasly accused on a whim, out of emotion? Just this year a female co-worker, who I did have a bit of a friendly rapport with, made a blatant pass at me and invited me back to her place on a Friday night. I told her that I don't mess around with women that I work with and turned her down gently.

A couple of weeks later the owner calls me into his office and says that she told him I was making inappropriate comments and she was uncomfortable working with me. Mind you the only thing that changed was my refusal to go home with her.

Thank goodness I've worked with the owner for so long that he knew better, but to cover himself he made me waste 4 hours of my weekend doing a sexual harassment course online.

If had taken her up on her offer who knows how it would have worked out.
