Congrats man, know your self-worth!

Agreed. My jaw is on the floor sometimes after seeing the rampant entitlement, and how quick they are to dispose of men. So many women are insane and horrible cruel.

Shit, I am so sorry and embarrassed that you encountered skanks who are selfish, immoral, undisciplined, unserious and think about nothing more than catching someone to satisfy their hedonistic ego. I am really embarrassed.
You are very right that this venomous poison feminism ruined romance and dating. And yeah, if she wants a romantic gentleman, she should be pleasant to be with, kind, sweetheart, caring, helpful and to let go of her ego and swallow her pride.
I am sorry you are upset. We women are supposed to be kind and sweet to men. And polite and mannered.

I think that the growth of female entitlement in the dating scene is more attributed to the invention and development of the cell phone, internet, and airplanes than to feminism.
Naturally, the magnitude of the male sex drive causes women have more options than men, and that effect only magnifies in favor of women when you put every human being in contact with each other via social media.
Basically, social media puts more men in front of women and more women in front of men, but men having higher sex drives skews the dating market in favor of women and hence they become more entitled and picky. So the average man has a harder time while the average woman has an easier time.
What feminism is responsible for is the recent sexual liberation of women, which honestly benefits accomplished men more than it benefits women. What feminism + social media has done is make sex harder to attain for the average to below average man, and easier to attain for virtually all women and above average men.
That why it is so stressed in the Manosphere to “level up”. If you’re an above average guy and you have access to social media, you will actually benefit from hypergamy because women naturally date up and more women know you exist.

Thank you for your response. A Question about that last paragraph, how does that benefit women's need for companionship, love, and raising kids with both parents available?
[–]psylikik 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You mean the second to last? I honestly think that in one aspect, the sexual liberation of women has made “dating” harder for women. Women tend to be unfulfilled by emotionless, connectionless, vapid, hookups, so all of this “sex positivity” disincentivizes men going all out for women to get what we want: sex. “If you can buy the milk, why buy the cow?” Courting women acting chivalrous and marrying them before sex is buying the cow. But now that they are sexually liberated, women no longer wait until marriage and you only need to take one on a few dates or hit them up on tinder to have sex, without giving them companionship, which is buying the milk. You see so many women complaining about hookup culture, guys bringing them on cheap dates, not being there emotionally, but that is only because women have disincentivized doing so since no longer have to do that to get in them walls.

It's been like this forever, it's just more prevalent that there is toxicity in it and it's being encouraged.

This is why you go on coffee dates, museum walks, etc. Stop spending your hard earned money! Any woman who demands a meal or drinks is to be immediately ghosted. I did that a long time ago. I'd flat out state, "so, you're not interested in getting to know me. You just want free food, drinks and entertainment. Bye!" And I'd stick to it. Suddenly had a lot more money in my pocket and a lot more serious women. You're going to get absolute mekt down tantrums, crying, begging, insulting etc. Stand firm. "I spend my own money and I speak my own mind! I am not your ATM nor am I your personal entertainment director!"

This is mostly society's to blame
[–]casra888 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No. It's on women. They are responsible for their own horrible behavior.

I don't have anything critical to write just now, though I might advise being careful to not let frustration affect your relationships with others. Women are a lot more plugged into culture and social standing, you wouldn't want to give them a reason to cancel you.
We all know that men don't all think the same and neither do women. Women are not held accountable enough for their decisions, and I would be very unsurprised if there were statistics indicating slipping out from consequences, including receiving drastically different sentences for crimes. Men are enabling that as well though.
We've got a lot of things to work out as far as society and sex go. Particularly the early part where people are figuring out dating and if they like each other enough and trust each other enough to have sex. Yes, we men also have to have some level of trust, usually regarding the practicalities of involvement aka how much time and effort to give any particular woman. To make it even more simple: don't trust any hoes.
I don't know how to fix this situation other than to, collectively and immediately, reject social media. While this would almost instantly fix dozens of issues, it would also create a hell of a vacuum and probably gut the tech industry like a fish.
Dating sucks for a lot of men and a lot of women, particularly those interested in a long-term relationship with a stable, trustworthy, and available partner. The global trade economy, wealth hoarding/lack of distribution, government and political involvement or inaction to address certain issues, forgetting definitive tenets of freedom and liberty, and social media all have some blame for the modern world we live in and how that changed the relationships between us.
When you know that disagreement with a woman could easily cost you your job, because she's a woman and with no consequences accuse you of having problems with women and watch you be isolated as a result, there is way too much of an imbalance.
When OnlyFans is the rule rather than exception in terms of a "job," there is something wrong. Men are enabling that, but women are doing it and therefore share blame. I, and and probably most men, don't hate sex workers at all. The problem is the mixed messages about sex work is empowering women while men are expected to accept monetized intimacy. We are renting intimacy from women that wouldn't piss on us if we were on fire for less than $4K in 4K resolution for the fans. All those cute arguments about sex work being the same as working in an office or warehouse, is clearly an attempt to rationalize and normalize us into acceptance and silence while making those of us craving intimacy incredibly unhappy.
The exclusion that a lot of us feel is adding up, and this isn't good for us or anyone else.

When OnlyFans is the rule rather than exception in terms of a "job,"
Ok, this is beyond ridiculous. Why make statements that are so obviously BS? OF has 1.5 million content creators. Even if they were all female, all doing sex work and all in the US (they're not) that would be 1% of women. Barely a blip on the statistical radar.
[–]freeshavocadew 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (4 children) | Copy Link
My point was that OF is still sex work, and there is a pretty clear push on social media for people to accept OF in particular. My experience on Reddit, one of several social media sites, include fairly frequent messages asking or telling me to subscribe to some OF or premium Snapchat from some profile that I've had little or no interaction with, which as far as writing my thoughts here, my anecdotal evidence is perfectly acceptable.
The idea that it's the same as working in a warehouse, and it's being pushed aggressively on social media including on dating apps, means we men are both sensitive and exposed to it. We're targeted as the audience, and no amount of "that's not many women" makes that slimy feeling go away.
Also, 1.5 million is significant. I don't know if that number is accurate, but I'll use it. That's a larger population than 4 of the top 10 most populous cities in the US (larger than San Jose, Dallas, San Diego, and San Antonio - about the same as Philadelphia). It would be the 159th most populous country out of 210 total countries. More people than Trinidad and Tobago, Estonia, Greenland, or Belize. More than twice the population of the Bahamas. Don't pretend we're talking about Vatican City.

Ngl, that's not how your original comment reads. It sounds like you're saying most women are making money on OF, when that's clearly impossible.
Sex work has never bothered me- it's just another way of peddling vice. It's not something I'm interested in, but what consenting adults do together is really none of my business.
1.5 million content creators is from Only Fans own website (https://onlyfans.com/about). Compared to the 258 million adults in the US, that number's downright tiny.

"When OnlyFans is the rule rather than exception in terms of a "job," there is something wrong."
I wrote that line to be the start of a "this isn't a job" thought. At least, it's not a comparable job to working in a warehouse or whatever. It's one of the rationales used to normalize it. The risks and maintenance required alone, but like the path to those things, the support systems we have, the difference in values required to sling boxes onto a pallet versus slinging asshole onto a traffic cone sized horse dildo in 4K is a stark contrast.
With that said, as I also wrote before, I don't hate sex workers. I firmly side with those people into it should be allowed to do that, and there is nothing wrong with expressing sexuality this way really. But it doesn't mean it's good and lacks consequences. I'm not trying to stop sex work at all, I'm truly pro-sex work, those folks should not be so marginalized and a lot of the stigma is unnecessary. But I will always try to advise avoiding sex workers as a man because I strongly believe intimacy is too important to just make sexual experiences a business transaction. As much as that could help and harm men in various ways, the harm it exposes women and children to is significantly more harmful.
I'm showing the US population as of January 1st 2022 estimated as 332,403,650 according to commerce.gov. That's only a bit more than 258 million, by around 74 million. Who's counting though? That's just all of California, Texas, and Missouri. 1.5 million people died globally from Tuberculosis in 2020, which isn't meant as a comparison of seriousness but just scale. OF isn't exclusive to the US, but how much you wanna bet over half are American? Does premium Snapchat also offer a number? I'm at work, I can't just Google that.

Yes, there are 74 million children. I really hope theyre not on OF. And there are roughly 258 million adults in the US, as I said previously.
There's always going to be jobs where people get paid far more than seems fair for the amount of work they do, that's supply and demand. I sit in an office and make $80k/year while a warehouse worker at my company makes $15/hr. Fair? Doesn't matter. What I'm selling is in higher demand. In a capitalist system services are worth whatever someone will pay.
[–]freeshavocadew 0 points1 point2 points 1 year ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh, I see. I did not see the word adults originally. Census.gov does indeed clarify that there is an estimate of 258.3 million adults and 73.1 million under 18 year olds. How foolish of me to just use an entire population, you sure didn't.
Numbers vary, but I'm only trying to play your game by your rules on the numbers, but the numbers don't actually matter to me or my points made. If you need them to figure out how much you should care, by all means.
There are a number of highly successful people, almost always women or transwomen, on OF and such. This isn't a jealousy thing, though I certainly would admit I am somewhat jealous. I don't really factor that into my points, but for the sake of honesty, there you have it. We men are funding OF. I already made that point in my initial comment. We are participating, and equally to blame for the success of that business.
If you're a kid and your mom works in an office making 80/k a year (my mom did, you say you do as well) would that be preferred over mom making 280/k a year showing the her stretched asshole for thousands of men and boys to see? Would you feel differently if I said "it's economics, supply and demand?" Would you feel empowered, knowing your mother bought you a PS5 by doing dick ratings at 40 bucks a pop for 2 days? Would you be supportive of her lavish lifestyle, using social media to promote her brand, seeing the hotel room you stayed at overnight while she stayed 3 days and 2 nights to create content? Perhaps we can ask some of those 73.1 million kids.
