Crosspost "Why singling out men only as being the bad ones ?!" from /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates:

I saw a post on feminism subreddit that say :

Too many men are concerned with being seen as "one of the good ones" rather than creating an environment where the bad ones can't exist let alone thrive.

You see this type of statement a lot from male feminists, its sound nice. nothing wrong with it. but if you look closely, it's very problematic.

Why singling out men only as being the bad ones ?! this sexist stereotype need to stop. saying the same thing about black people, jews or muslims will never be tolerated so why we tolerate the stereotyping and stigmatization of men and boys ? if the gillette ad was about black people, and titled "the best black people can be". no one will say "this is not racist, we are just teaching black people how not to be rapist and criminal " !

Why only men have the responsibility to create a safe environment ? isn't that the responsibility of all people regardless of their gender ? why placing extra responsability on men ? if saying just because you are a woman you have to do these things is considered sexist why the same thing is not considered sexist to ask from men to do just for being men ?

A man in the comments asked what to do and a feminist woman answered saying "Call out men. So many guys make excuses for other guys or even just ignore their behavior - which ends up justifying it and making women feel as if you believe the same." !!! Why not call out bad and toxic behavior regardless of the gender ? why women spread misandry 24/7 even in mainstream media like the article "why can't we hate men?" in the Washington Post and no one call them out ? why we only call out men for sexism but not women ? why we still pretend that only men are abusers and only women are victims ?

Assigning negative characteristics to a certain group is called bigotry. this is what this post is doing. this is what the gillette ad did. and it need to stop.
