But for reals, it is better to see 20% in terms of categories. The top males tend to be in the top 20 of some of these categories.

Top 20% Social status / Power

Top 20% of wealth / affluence

Top 20% most athletic/muscular

Top 20% Height

Top 20% Looks/style

Top 20% Personality and Charisma

Top 20% of Intelligence

Etc.

When you see a model, he may be top of height, looks, muscles, but not top elsewhere

I believe it's more like 90/10. 90% of women are after 10% of the highly physical attractive men. The rate in which the number of men in the US that are single, sexless or divorced is constantly increasing. This isn't a choice by men either, it's a choice by women keeping them single. The sad fact is, all these women will also end up single and alone, and it will be too late.

We're living in a population where it's fairly equal, 10 women for every 10 men, but these 10 women are all chasing 1 guy. At some point 9 of these women will have to either accept reality and the wall they've hit, or live out their lives alone and depressed. Don't get me wrong, us men are depressed about this just as much, but we at least aren't lying to ourselves, knowing we're not going to end up of women that 7's or 8's, and that average or below average is okay. But that's no good enough for women these days.

I look at it like this:

What age are you at vs what women are looking for and how is your game aka "Hypergamy and tingles"

but my 8/10 girl may by your 5 and like wise you may be a 8/10 to one girl and a 5 to another.

Now keep in mind

70% of usa males are over weight
- out of the 30% who workouts and looks it?
40% of usa families (no idea on single men) earn 40k+
- do you earn high for the place you live in?
only 15% of the us men are 6 foot
- a-bit short? put on boots
Do you have game and are game aware?
- how many white knights you know and just orbit?

now if you can meet the 3 out of 4 I think your be well above 20% range

mostly the 80/20 is seen a lot on tinder and dating aps That overflates thots ideas that makes 6s think they are 8s but day and night game changes it a lot

Here's an exercise you can do.

Walk into a room containing 50-100 people. Progressive work your way up from the worst looking men to the best. The very last 5-10 people you end up with are your upper echelons.

You need to be top 20% in something and best in multiple things. The easiest thing is to hit the gym, then comes wealth, do you have a home and a car to your name? However, you may learn that it's all pointless. What matters is what you like doing all the time. Staying true to yourself, not to some female ideal. They are not that bright and mostly very shallow. Why doesnt anyone want her at 40+ again?

EDIT: The sure-fire way. Go study medicine and become a medical doctor. That will get pussy wet real fast. But do you enjoy practicing medicine?

It's from pareto principle, it's actually a quite well observed and documented principle in nature, and black pill science have simply applied it to the human sexual marketplace which it's again reflected.

It is 20/80 of what is available. So yes, locally, but you can't go for the top dog if you're not the top of the girls, so you might be inclined to go for the second beast insted right away, so he didn't feel like he is your second choice, even tho he is.

This was so perfectly demonstrated in a Norwegian reality TV show, where everyone is fairly attractive but all the girls (minus 1, who where currently involved with the guy second to top) would rather have group sex with the top guy and share him, rather then finding their own partner.

The producers of the show obviously noticed their attraction to him (he came of as somewhat of a shy guy) and asked the girls and him what it was about him. What his secret was. He said he had no idea, girls just came to him. And the girls claim was that he just radiates sex, and that's what attracted them to him.

What does that even mean if not just looks?

This was pretty obvious when I went to school or in various jobs I had. It was easy to know who the top guy was who all the women wanted. If he was a player he was easily getting 10x more sex then everyone else.

This is the right question! You shouldn't be asking why "the top 20%" get everything, but how you should be "top 20%" ! This is the best strategy. So let's answer it, because I'm interested and none of the other yahoos in this thread did. Let's assume that your age bracket is in the 25-35 range (mate seeking range), where practical. Height is 5'9", because that's average.

Weight/BMI/Bodyfat - should be in "low end normal" - right around 22 (150-160 pounds) - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6325416/. The Army Rangers allow a maximum of 20% body fat (18% in the Marines), so that's probably a better number (assuming that "Army Ranger" and "Marine" are in the top 20% of fitness categories).

Strength - Be able to comfortably pick up a 100 pound box off the ground, and hold it overhead. Squad/Bench/Dead of 260/225/300.

Note - there is an established mathematical relationship between strength, BMI, and "attractiveness to women", oddly enough - and being thinner is worth more points than being stronger (on the whole). Note, from the previous study, that strength will be accurately assessed, regardless.

Education - 13% of the population has a masters degree, so that's kinda the benchmark.

Wealth - $290-388K, see below for tabled computation.

Obviously take everything with a grain of salt - you are competing against your competitors in the market. The "top 20% income" at the CEO convention is going to be a tough market. The "top 20% physical" at Muscle Beach is gonna be rough. That said - "more fit than the CEOs" might be doable ;).

That said, nationwide, it is reasonable to think that this list is pretty decent: "visible abs", "can lift 100 pounds", "can easily pick a girl up", "makes $60+K/year", "has a masters' degree", and "owns a house and a car" should put someone in the "total package" bracket.

Scrap/NOTES:

Insofar as "functional fitness", moving a 100 pound box around is probably sufficient to be "top 20".

Wealth - https://www.thebalance.com/american-net-worth-by-state-metropolitan-4135839 - $630K to be "top 20% nationwide". Probably safe to say "if you are on the path to be top 20% at age 35, then you are set. Assuming that you have a 4-year college degree graduating with no debt, this might break down the savings/year into the following chart. I took the average of the 25-35 numbers for the above table. Obviously wealth-building doesn't work like this. Obviously being in the top 20% of America by age 35 is a little tough, so I reran the numbers for "top 40%" and took the same average. $205K at age 35 puts you "on par to be top 40%". $630K at 35 puts you "on par to be top 20%".

EDIT - Reddit mangled my tables and I'm too lazy to fix them. Long story short - assuming a working career of 23-35, at the end of 35, you should have $630K to be in top 20%, and $206K to be in the top 40%. On average, for a 25-35 working time, this puts it at ~388K/289K for 20/40%. Obviously more is better, but the median house price nationwide is $227K, so you can think of this as "could own a house free-and-clear" by age 30 (assuming you cashed out retirement savings to do so).

Bragging, because I cannot help myself, and would like to use these benchmarks selfishly myself!

Age: 33.

Weight/BMI/Bodyfat - I'm ~15% bf, safely below the 18% maximum. Obviously need to watch it.

Strength - goals are 260/225 squat/bench, and I'm at ~290/~240.

Income - $125K - top 5% nationwide. Top tier.

Education - Top 2%, have PhD. Top tier.

Wealth - $870K. Top tier (25% over benchmark).

Final notes - obviously personality, friendship circle, etc. plays a role, but it cannot be easily computed. The above list is "numbers which can be computed".
