After one year of dealing with false accusations, stalking/harassment, and stolen money, it’s over. She tried everything in her power to ruin me and I came out stronger. My emotional well-being is at all time high after all these years. However, I feel like I just won an empty victory. She did all of these crimes and everyone (police and the courts) just told her to not do it again. A gentle slap on the wrist for stealing mail, trying to access records, calling and harassing family/friends/co-workers, trespassing on my property, and calling me from blocked numbers all hours of the night. The family court system has its bias, but at least I’m free. Thank you to everyone in this sub who shares advice. I’m usually a lurker in the sub, but I pray for all of you to gain your freedom too. The other side after marriage is a strange place, but at least it’s not the prison of unhappiness.

Pros: I don’t have to pay alimony. I don’t have to pay her attorney fees. I don’t have to give her my 401k. The priceless reaction of the Judge telling her to stop being lazy and get a job.

Cons: My ex is still a cunt.
