I know the saying 95% settle, some literally on the court steps. But what about those that don’t?

I am dealing with a STBX that is non-cooperative on every level. Even those that aren’t divorce related. Example, tax time is coming. We need to file and we need to use an impartial accountant as ours has a conflict of interest. I asked that we use a different accountant today. STBX won’t even discuss it. STBX runs a business and is likely trying to cook the books to change her income.

I think this is just showing what I am in for on the rest of this process. We have submitted our settlement offer and pending their response. But I know for a fact she is going for full custody etc. I know she won’t get it, but just another example. We offered 50/50.

Is there a time where either the STBX sees reality or her attorney does and brings her back to planet earth to negotiate? My gut says it’s going to either go to trial or literally right up to the last minute.

Edit: or is the is just par for the course?
