Quick question: I was talking to an old friend and she brought up something pretty profound...

It took her a while to learn to stay away from toxicity in her relationships.

I'm trying to learn the same thing.

Looking at red flags I guess I ignored in the marriage... One of the big things that stuck out in my mind is she couldn't handle even the slightest bit of a different opinion on my part. If I disagreed with something on any level and wanted to talk it out she took it as a personal attack and that I was starting a fight. There were times I couldn't even say I had a different opinion. She even accused me of misogyny solely because I had a different opinion.

Has anyone else experienced that? Looking back it foreshadowed a bunch of stuff.

...am I making any sense?
