Why is it that women, specifically mine, that can turn off a marriage like a light switch. She moved in immediately with almost no issue and I'm trying to move on but I've canceled on more dates than I've actually gone on because I just don't feel up to it. It just seems crazy to me that she was able to just move on after 12 years of being together.

I agree, that's why I'm not eager to jump into anything, but seeing her do it, especially when there is a child involved, is a very hard pill to swallow

"Thats the secret cap, I'm always angry". To answer your question, they don't. They know this stuff YEARS before the actual divorce. I don't think its an evolutionary thing, I think its cultural."But their protecting themselves and bla bla bla'. It's cultural. I'd bet my left nut 85% of women who get divorced had in the back of their mind the idea of divorce on their wedding day. You were married 12 years. I know this is hard to hear, but she probably knew it would end in divorce, 6, 7 years into the marriage. And she probably at least had the idea in the back of her mind from the beginning. She waited years until it was most convenient for her. Of course, one would ask "Wouldn't it make more sense to spend all those years trying to address the issues instead of mentally checking out?" YES, IT FUCKING WOULD. But that's not how they're taught.
