To see what is wrong you need to do is:
" "Black people get murdered too!" Yeah usually by other black people"

Suddenly, the "caring" and "acceptive" comment is no longer as "caring" and "acceptive" .

I wonder how people go off writing shit like this and NEVER notice that they are doing literally what they are fighting against - sexism(or racism)

What this person is saying can only be the case if you define rape as only being involuntarily penetrated but the real definition of rape is much more expansive than that. Rape is any sexual activity that is done without consent. If we go by this definition, most male victims of rape had female perpetrators.

https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/intimatepartnerviolence/men-ipvsvandstalking.html ( I have used this source as it is from the cdc and dense in data but I want to point out that this document is problematic in it’s own way. Somewhat ironically it defines the term rape as “any completed or attempted unwanted penetration of the victim through the use of physical force or when the victim was unable to consent due to being too drunk, high, or drugged” and due to this it says that most male rape victims had male perpetrators. But just a few lines after this it says that “82% of male victims of sexual coercion reported only female perpetrators.”. As far as I’m concerned this should be the only statistic that matters as we shouldn’t use the other, way more reductive definition of rape.)

What bothered me the most wasn’t that such a comment had been made or even the number of upvotes but the fact that nobody corrected this person. There were comments saying that every rape victim is valid (I’m paraphrasing) etc but nobody stopped and thought “wait is that true, maybe I should google it”. They just assumed that it was true.

Well, this is technically true, but only because women can't be charged with rape.

Boys get raped all the time by women

Are you referring to statutory rape, specifically?

[–]redgarnetamaranth 7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

"we have defined rape perpetration to specifically require having a penis then using our own metrics have concluded that men are mainly raped by other men" well no shit you're going to find that if you just don't count female perpetration, dumb fuck.

And people think feminism is somehow "left-wing," despite that this and similar rhetoric is routinely parroted by its adherents. 🙄

Female chauvinists are obsessed about the gender of the perp, and refuse to acknowledge than men can be victims

[–]gabrielcoronel_ 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly! They pay more attention to the perpetrator's gender than the victim.

Misandry AND homophobia at the same time. Nice combo

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
