Yeah, try finding a job when you can't get out of bed some days, or can't face meeting people. Try getting interested in a hobby when half your mind is concentrated on killing yourself and the other half is engaged in trying to stop yourself doing so.

Apart from being a horrible thing to say, it's also untrue. One of my favourite authors, Jens Bjørneboe, committed suicide. He is considered one of the most important authors in Norway after WWII. I'm not sure if he was diagnosed, but according to his biographer he suffered from manic depression. Manic depression among artists is so common that a book, Touched with Fire, has been written about it.

In a quick poll of one group getting mental health care, the average time for women to get treatment was about 15 months - varied from 4 months up to 30 months. The average time for men was over 3 years, varying from around a year up to 12 years.

This feminist claptrap about men always being preferred is just part of their Patriarchy conspiracy Theory. It doesn't match the real world.
