It is painful to note that feminism, a movement that seeks to free people from the shackles of patriarchy, is misinterpreted in this way (as misandry). Wondering why this keeps happening, I approach Tahmina Huq, a Bangladeshi women's rights activist. "One of the reasons people make this mistake," she tells me, "is rooted in the fact that feminism challenges gender norms. Because it aims to establish a world in which everyone will enjoy equal rights regardless of gender, people who benefit from patriarchy are reluctant to support the movement and end up confusing it with misandry. Some people even think that feminists, instead of demanding equality, want a social structure in which men will be suppressed by women."

There seems to be some sort of collective blind spot amongst feminists. It takes like seconds to find misandry in any feminist sub or group. I recently posted in /r/FourthWave (you can guess the rest). The absolute bile and hatred I received was near hyserical. Especially one person who just spat hate. Being honest, it felt as strong as talking to Nazis about being Jewish.

I'm amazed that anybody can sit there, and with a straight face, say Feminism isn't Misandry. The two are absolutely intwined, along with transphobia (politely refered to as don't mentiont the 20th letter of the alphabet) and a smattering of homophobia.

I just tried to look at the fourth wave sub out of morbid curiosity and a sub I've never been to and never heard of has me blocked 🤣🤣🤣🤣 that's feminists in a nutshell.

If you have never been to that sub and you're blocked, you can report that sub to reddit for brigading (banning people pre-emptively for participating in another sub counts as brigading).

It's a legit reportable action that can get their entire sub in trouble.

How do I make that report ? There's a few symptoms s that I never went to or interacted with that have me banned. I see them mentioned in other places and want to look out of morbid curiosity and find out I'm preemptively banned.

If you don't see the right option to report on the second one, use the first one.

There's a simple solution avoid all feminists, assume them to be misandrist and not taken seriously untill them eliminate the misandrist from their movement. The same way they tell me as a black man that I need to eliminate the .002% of black men that the stereotypes are based off before I can be assumed to not be like them.

Actions speak louder than words, do they not? Not once have I ever seen them empathizing with disenfranchised men. Even worse, I have only seen them being a root cause of their disenfranchisement by constantly shaming them for being privileged because they are straight men. Even worse, whenever a man gets proven innocent of a crime he was accused of by a woman, feminists always side with the woman and believe that the man committed the crime and the verdict is fraudulent.

Feminists always side with women regardless of if she committed a heinous crime against an innocent man.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
