Feminist male-bashing has come to sound like a cliche — a misogynist caricature. Feminism, its loudest proponents vow, is about fighting for equality. The man-hating label is either a smear or a misunderstanding.

I will never understand why the Feminist movement doesn't seem to want to discuss their bigotry, or even accept it's there. This sub shows how prevelant it is. I can find outright misandry within 1 minute of reading any female space.

This gender antagonism does nothing to advance the unfinished business of equality.

This, absolutely this, gender equality can never be achieved when there is so much hate and bigotry on one side. Reading feminist spaces is a sure fire way of creating misogynists.

This article points out literally everything i've tried to bring up with feminists time and time again.

If you insult, degrade, abuse and make sweeping generalized statements about men.. don't act all surprised when those men don't want to join your movement or call you out.

The trend i've seen with feminism is that they are very good at modifying the definitions of words / phrases to suite their own needs / goals.
In example.. i've had many feminists explain that #KillAllMen doesn't mean that they literally want to kill all men.. it just a way for women to express their frustration with the misogyny they deal with every day"
But the problem with that is, if that's the case then there are a myriad of other hashtags which would be better used: #EverydayMisogny #EndThePatriarchy etc.. which accomplishes the same end goal but doesn't promote misandry at the same time.

But yeah.. You are absolutely 100% correct that Feminists treating men bad is detrimental to feminism too.. I just wish more and more feminists would realize this...

Article is 5 years old. It's still accurate though.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
