Annnnnd, I'm banned. Calling out someone for being sexist in an anti sexism subreddit... Stay classy feminists.

[–]huysocialzone 14 points15 points  (3 children) | Copy Link

Report it to reddit admin. They are using sexist generalization

[–]PricklyGoober 13 points14 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Misandry isn’t a bannable offense on reddit unfortunately.

[–]huysocialzone 7 points8 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Stop with the defeatism, that is why we are here.

[–]Stunna4Yerks -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

it isn't a bannable offense tho, there's entire sub reddits where it's allowed and promoted.

[–]GimmeDePusiBoss 6 points7 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

Which sub was it

[–]_name_of_the_user_[S] 8 points9 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Blatant misogyny, lol. An anti sexism subreddit promoting sexism is just amazing in the most predictable and pathetic way possible.

Blatant Misogyny

Hardly surprised that they agree with that comment.

It's better to stay away from that cesspool of toxicity, just reading it makes me want to vomit. Those people literally hate men

Women's antipathy towards downplaying false accusations (a daily occurence that ruins and kills tens of millions of men per year) is nauseating. They don't even care to admit that they defend liars. They just want to silence victims of false accusations because the truth exposes how many women enable and back liars. Or worse, it's a woman who doesn't want her owns to be exposed. She discredits men so when she gets caught cheating on her boyfriend/husband, gets denied a promotion, or just plain can't take rejection, she can cry rape and pretend false accusations aren't a big deal. Not to mention women who make false rape accusations are hardly ever pubished. Even if they are punished, the sentence is light. If you get you caught making a false accusation, even committing perjury to go with that false statement, you can get off easy! Women are bored of hearing about many men's lives they ruin because they don't care about men, so they want men to shut up and suffer in silence because "her truth" matters more than the actual truth. Women put a ton of effort into stopping discussion on false accusations against men because they put freedom ahead of accountability and integrity

There, fixed it

[–]huysocialzone 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Dont "fixed" it. Report it for hate.

[–]_name_of_the_user_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

For the record, I'd report that post if it wasn't clearly satire as well. The amount of heinous generalizations the OOP made about men is disgusting and so would that post if it was intended to be real.

That said, change every female gendered term and pronoun to feminist and you'd have a mountain of truth.

[–]Kuato2012[M] -1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

This isn't a "fixed it" so much as a script-flipped version of the sexism in OP's screenshot.

[–]Maffioze 11 points12 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Because they put their feelings over victims

You mean like feminist organisations, people in the government and feminist academics when it comes to the gendered lens of domestic violence?

[–]mypinksunglasses 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Yyyyyup.

[–]RatDontPanic 8 points9 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

I for one think both sides are right. Rape is a huge problem for female and male victims, and any man caught in a false accusation is at risk for his very life. Victims of rape and false accusations are both valid and the discussion of one should never have been put at odds with the other. The idea that one can derail the other is some bullshit put forth by the powers that be as a tactic to divide us all.

[–]_name_of_the_user_[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Wholeheartedly agreed. In fact I said a few times in my now removed comment that empathy for both men and women isn't mutually exclusive.

[–]Vughfufu 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

How wrong do you want to be? Feminist: YES.

Lmao talk about being pathetic.

Women’s obsession with rape cases (which virtually never happen) is nauseating. They don’t even care about rape. They just want to silence victims because a false accusation makes men look bad. Or worse, it’s a woman who doesn’t want to get in trouble herself. She discredits men so when she falsely accuses someone at work she can say it’s not a big deal. Not to mention false accusers are hardly ever punished. Even if they are punished the sentence is light. If you’re going to be raped, you better hope it’s false so you can get off easy! Women are bored of hearing about how much women terrorize men because they don’t care about men, so they want men to shut up about it while the false accusations continue. Women put a ton of effort into stopping discussions on female violence because they put their feelings over the victims.

There, did a little experiment and flipped it around. Any feminists mad? Curb your hypocrisy.

I can see why you feel like flipping it, trying to highlight the issues associated with it. I am well aware that you do not condone the statements - in fact, your point was to show why they are so bad.

Nonetheless, there are multiple issues with this, which result in me removing the comment.

First of all, I doubt that such an approach will be convincing to those making statements as shown in this post. If anything, they might use it to reinforce misconceptions about egalitarian communities. If one were to adopt their disturbing claims about false accusations as infrequent and harmless, your statements would not make much sense anymore. Their subscription to misandristic tropes, like substantial portions of male survivors allegedly being perpetrators trying to shift the blame or protect themselves, does not help with attempts to support them in recognizing and combatting their misandristic misconceptions.

Furthermore, some of your flipped sentences are problematic:

If you’re going to be raped, you better hope it’s false so you can get off easy!

There is no "false rape" - only a false accusation of something that did not occur in the way it was claimed. And, to my knowledge, false accusers don't have to hope in the way the accused have to. Unlike accused men, for whom retributional violence, torture and rape are expected, encouraged and celebrated throughout society - false accusers, as far as I am aware, do not face such sentiments (or the associated violence) at a similar frequency, severity, publicity and with similar societal meta-reactions toward those sentiments themselves.

Nonetheless, statements like these (e.g. implying the existence of "false rapes") are prone to misunderstandings that reinforce commonly held misconceptions about men's advocacy. As a result, the comment was removed.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
