Reddit admin once again shows their content policy is a joke

I reported this comment as a clear violation of the hate content policy, because saying "Hating on men isn't a bad thing" is obviously "promoting hate based on identity". The admins reported back that they "found that the reported content doesn’t violate Reddit’s Content Policy"... making a complete joke of their policy.

Bigotry is alive and well on Reddit, and condoned by the admins.

Sometimes people ask why egalitarians and men's advocates aren't just feminists instead (because fEmInIsM iS fOr EvErYbOdY!). Or they ask why so many egalitarians and men's advocates spend so much time and effort being antifeminist.

Welp, here's the linked comment from the feminism subreddit, to which the mods and admins give their approval, preserved for anyone to review:

Hating on men isn't a bad thing. Men have oppressed women since we learned to walk on 2 feet, women are right to be upset about that.

Edit: and to the point about reddit's content policy, the doublespeak involved is rather shameful. They tipped their hand back when they explicitly excluded whites and men from the new content policy. They revised the wording, but kept the regressive meaning.

  1. I haven't oppressed anybody
  2. You have no idea what oppression looks like.

Yeah I like how these kids say “we’ve been oppressed” when they mean their ancestors from 200 years ago

You just didn't read between the lines of the policy:

the hate portion of the rule was written with specific groups in mind based on our real-world experience running Reddit

Hate is specifically supported by reddit admins. It is not a mistake.

Hating and demonizing all feminists is a moral obligation.

That's a bit overkill for my taste. Because feminism styles itself as being for the benefit of everyone, and because feminism has a total stranglehold on the gender issues narrative, I think there are plenty of self-identified feminists who aren't actually malicious. There seem to be a fair number of people out there who have been hoodwinked by an ideology that is malicious.

Sort of like... hate the ____ism but not the ____ist.

Why downvote this? It's true. Feminist are no different from the Klan or any other White supremacy group except they celebrate gender supremacy.

If you're fine with demonizing Neonazis, you should be fine with demonizing feminist.

Why downvote this?

Because it's an extremist message. Not all feminists deserve such hate.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
