Equality is only one aspect of desirability. Not only the treatment of male victims but also that of male perpetrators is monstrous and not part of a desirable future, even if that treatment was applied equally. It depends on the case, but according to my subjective evaluation of severity, men have been beaten and tortured to death for far, far less than what this video shows. And in far too many cases, even genuine, proportionate self-defense by a male victim against a female perpetrator will be affected by this to a life-threatening degree.

The goal should be to achieve equality in proportionate intervention without resorting to self-justice or revenge. That is, in addition to the seemingly infinite amount of associated variables that are currently skewed by misandry and as such shape the occurence, observation, and experience of violence against men (e.g. bystander reactions, bystander cognitions, bystander emotions, law enforcement intervention urgency, law enforcement...). In a perfect world, no perpetrator of any gender would need to sustain any injuries in this situation, given that there are more than enough bystanders to restrain her whilst waiting for law enforcement to show up.

As it stands, however, misandristic atrocities like the empathy gap and other manifestations of misandry, like the sadistic enjoyment of male distress and suffering on top of a mere lack of empathy, result in conditions that do not allow for this.
