Note: As I wrote my post yesterday saying I had nothing to write about, this topic came to mind. Thank you collective universe for giving me something to write about today.

Anyone who merely does not believe in the rose colour glasses theory simply needs to do this experiment.

Think deeply about something you feel strongly about for one day or longer if you wish. Then see if you can find evidence to match your deep thinking in everything you see.

Surprising isn’t you probably could? How is that so? Simple, it is science, the brain, specifically emotional memory and how emotion effects our perception of events based on it.

How we feel about a certain thing is also how we are going to emotionally remember it.

Look no further than you being mad at your parents as a child for having the audacity to ground you.

You hated them then. You most likely thought of all the times they wronged you and said “I have the worst parents, how dare they do this to me. They must pay.

Funny how those same narratives can carry over if we feel negativity towards our significant others, especially if they really harmed us. Really hurt us. Or other people in general.

Is it now no wonder how extremists movements can be created?

Do yourself a favour and the minute you start to feel the effects of hurt on you try you best to see things from the other persons point of view so you don’t get the glasses on.
