I've always hated this notion that somehow men would just worse at socializing than women instead of everybody actually realizing that because we are men and women that we will be perceived in different ways
It's not your first thought that counts but your second thought and that's the exact same thing the civil rights movement and the feminist movement have been trying to push
What you may think is normal or should be normal probably isn't and you probably think so because it's been reinforced by media or movies ....etc...
After analyzing I've also realized this about myself as I was always great at social situations until it came to girls because there is no correct way to get out of a social blunder with a girl especially if you do like her
If you mess up you run the risk of her turning away from you but if this isn't a school setting especially when you're surrounded by immature people like yourself you may get clowned or laughed at and that's not a good feeling on top of rejection
Also most men do see women's hints when they're trying to flirt
We see the hair flip and the eyelash batting and all the other things but just like women when men see this we have to run a risk assessment
"Wow this girl is really cool and every time she's around me she's very open and friendly and dare I say flirty. But I could be wrong as last time a girl sent me signals I got it wrong or she was playing me? What if she's just being friendly?"
Those thoughts are usually what goes in my head.
No man wants to be seen as weird or creepy
Even if I noticed a girl sending hints at me I still will probably not act on it the first time I see her because it's just not enough information
Which really makes me wonder if we aren't all slaves to our biology because it's crazy how girls will spend all day trying to send hints and soul gestures that may or may not be subtle and that could easily fly over a guy's head,
Instead of just going up and asking the guy or telling him her feelings.
Why is it still on the guy to do all the pursuing and decode all of this stuff
there doesn't seem to be anything here
