I've been/am that platonic female friend. There is often so much hurt that is built up inside these men. When we all hang out, we teach each other to let things out, to cry, and to heal. Having a chick around platonically can give a gentle nudge to release. That is a lot of why I'm on this subreddit.

Being close with women can definitely help men to understand us better. But I honestly wouldn’t advise this for people who are only starting to get off redpill. I have never had a guy friend who hasn’t tried to get with me before (and that’s not me boasting, it’s just a fact) a lot of the time they take the let down well and we stay friends. Other times, when the guys were more socially inept it lead to arguments/ sexual assault.

So from a woman’s perspective: yeah absolutely go out there and talk to women as friends and get to know us but please for the love of god only if you’re really ready not to make her feel uncomfortable.

Get to know yourself first. Self love/understanding trumps all others.

If you genuinely form and maintain female friendships, it's also a demonstration to other females that you know how to relate to women, not merely objectify them. So don't do it for how it makes you look, but do appreciate that everyone notices when a straight guy has female friends; most people would consider that an indication of high value.

Ok Imma be honest here, I have 2 platonic female friends and it probably made things worse. Some of the stuff they do is mind boggling. For example, one girl openly juggles several guys. She would have a minor arguement with her bf and use it as an excuse to go have sex with someone else. And when I said that's kind of shitty she responded that he is lucky I'm not screwing around more.

iPad tons of female platonic friends since I was in elementary school and I don't think that fact ever really helped or hurted me when it came to attracting the opposite sex

I find funny a lot of the advice that is pedaled on this sub because it could be just as toxic or useless as the red pill stuff.

I remember when me in a platonic friend went out to a club together and we instantly got a lot of attention based off that fact but that's really the only thing I can think of that actually helped me when it came to dating

I always liked having platonic female friends, the only think that sucked about having female friends are that sometimes when they get into relationships, their boyfriends can get insecure about it and make a big deal about it, and then I can't talk to them lots. I 100% respect that you are in a relationship and would never try to steal your girl, I just like making friends.

As long as you two are mature about it, it's okay to have friends of the opposite sex.

Even when I was following the redpill this was something that I always disagreed with, I never agreed on the whole "Men and women can't be friends" because during my university days most of my friends, acquantiances were mostly girls, and I never thought anything different of it tbh.

Ehhhhh, I won't say that I am exredpill, although I don't exactly identify as red pill either. I think there is truth to some of what the red pill is about.

But I absolutely disagree with the idea that men and women can be just friends. If you want a successful marriage and family life, there needs to be restrictions between male and female interaction unless they are family members or spouses.

If you're not attracted to her that's cool, I would never advocate for a guy to be just friends with a woman that he finds attractive or that he's attracted to, it's really dumb to friendzone yourself, that being said I don't think it's that important for guys to have female friends , it's generally our friendships that are envied I rarely if ever hear guys say "no girl wants to be just friends with me😭😭😭" lol, and now if you're a more feminine guy, then yeah you might be more comfortable with that

As a woman, I let go of all male platonic friends. That does not mean I cannot be friendly and have great conversations with male colleagues and people I meet out and about.

This is because I wish to find a serious life partner, a husband.

The concept of a platonic opposite sex friend is paradoxical.. Men want to mate, so do women. I have always become attracted to male friends and definitely vice versa. This is just a fact of life. I keep that term friend more serious and dont call any male a friend. Acquaintance or colleague is where you'll be if we are not romantically inclined. That is healthy for me.

I wish everyone well who is working towards bettering their interpersonal relationships. It is worth healing.
