Two points to this:

Firstly, imagine if a woman said that sleeping with 50 men makes you good at understanding men and relationships. Can you imagine the outrage from Redpillers at a comment like that. The hypocrisy is less a red flag, more a volcano spewing red hot lava.

Secondly, of course it doesn't work. You don't learn how to connect with someone by actively not connecting with them. You don't understand relationships by avoiding having the. Behaving like that will specifically teach you how to not forge a good relationship, and to instead treat women like replaceable pieces of meat.

You don't even need to sleep with women to understand them. You just have to actually talk with them and listen to them and not argue back when they tell you something you don't like. It just goes to show how far RP will go to avoid listening to women and treating them like humans.

I lost track somewhere around 40, and I'm nowhere near close to relating let alone understanding women in general. I feel like I've lost parts of myself somewhere along the way as a result.

What I have learned is that working to understand one woman over time has proven far more beneficial to my health and focus than attempting to figure them out en masse. There are a couple women I've shared years of my life with that I would rather experience life with again instead of alone or running the streets.

I can’t remember who said this, but there’s one quote I wholeheartedly agree with, “A lover is not a man who has love 1,000 women one time, but a man who has loved one woman 1,000 times.” Who is in a better position to understand women and sexual bonding: the man who has slept with 50 women once, or the man who has slept with one woman 5,000 times? In my opinion, the second guy is a better example to follow, because that woman stayed with him and wants him enough to sleep with him 5,000 times, while the former has probably disappointed 50 women.

I just think it's funny to try and argue that intercourse with a variety of different people is somehow correlated to better skills in maintaining a loving and healthy relationship.

I'd say being in a LTR, having great friendships, good relationships with your family, experience navigating interpersonal conflict and recovering from said conflict are better determinants of being a good partner than how many people you've slept with.

Additionally, I will also argue that lots of sex with one person is a way more effective way of improving your sexual skills than hookups with randoms.

All of my friends who hookup casually report to have some of the worst sex or how the man doesn't care about her pleasure and seems totally incompetent at doing anything other than getting himself off. It's less likely that people will have the comfort to communicate their needs, preferences, and how to pleasure them to someone they don't really know.

IME, the quality of sexual intimacy has always been correlated in part with the relationship duration and more importantly the emotional intimacy of the relationship.

My partner and I have way better and more satisfying sex now than we did when we first got together. And he was a man who had a 3 digit body count, yet he was frankly pretty clueless when we first got together.

I personally feel that RP guys saying this are trying desperately to justify their own slut antics. Because not surprisingly, they do not apply their theory to women. A woman who has slept with 50 men would be seen as a low value and bad partner. It's just a BS justification for their double standards.

I typed a whole lot of paragraphs, but came to one conclusion, so I'll keep it short.

One of my artist friends has a quote "practice with intention."

That is to say, you can draw a thousand circles and never get better at drawing a circle. Or you can draw 10 and intentionally get better at each attempt if you learn from the experience.

You could sleep with 50 women and never learn anything beyond that point if you can't critically-think beyond it. If you don't actively try to learn, you won't.

And that's one of the biggest problems dumb people have. They hear advice "like practice a lot." And they don't think about what it means. They think you can just scribble a circle a thousand times and somehow think that makes them a good artist. But if you just repeat the same mistake a thousand times without trying to get better -- you'll still be an armature.

It's an idea, not a theory. Basically, the idea is based on the logic that the more experience you have with X, the better you will understand X. In that case, "X" refers to women. Of course, this doesn't guarantee that you will understand women if you sleep with 50 or more women.

There was another post recently that talked about vulnerability. Red pill doesn't teach vulnerability. In fact it teaches the opposite. So, you can sleep with 100 women, but if you do not learn to give, be vulnerable, and invest in another person, then you are not learning how to be in a relationship.

I think a lot of this sort of um idiocy comes from what I'm going to call "young person" thinking. Young people don't know that much about the struggles of adult life (finances, home, child-care), especially these days. They're as far as possible from death, ailments, caring for the aging and dying, and so forth. And, they're extremely likely to be sex obsessed especially if they're say a young man who has been hooked on porn since before he hit puberty.

This in turn pretty much means that their goals are going to be about sex, sex, and more sex with a lot less regard shown towards building a stable life that will allow them to move towards adulthood, dealing with the twilight years of others, and eventually their own twilight years. But, they think about it a little, and of course their solution is going to involve the thing they're obsessed with. So they come up with this hokum impression that the best way to be able to know what will make for a good and stable partner to share peace and joy with, is if you have "an abundance mindset" in which you know women are a dime-a dozen and easily replaced. The only way to leave behind sex obsession, is to fulfill it. It isn't to realize that meaningless sex is called meaningless sex for a reason.

Because of course, when you talk to happily married people, they all think their spouse is easily replaced, not unique, and not that special. They're just where you've decided to hang their hat for now.

Obviously, this is not all young people. Many young people are capable of looking past all this and realizing that fucking 50 people is no way to learn how to have a relationship with one or how to evaluate and pick a good partner. I'm sorry OP has been misled to thinking that the ability to get a woman into bed is the same as the ability to make her want to return to that bed, hold you when your parents are sick or annoying, or go get groceries when she's and you are crabby after work without having a blow-up fight.

I do think it's pretty obvious that this is terrible advice tho.
