That last line really stuck in my brain. Women provided all the critical services so men could have leisure time. Now no one has real leisure time. Everyone works. Everyone does dishes and laundry. I’m not making any point, it just gave me a good think!

This argument is always hilarious. „Yeah, why didn't you create masterpieces while we were oppressing you for centuries, treating you like maids, cooks and baby pumping machines? And make inventions and discoveries while for a long time being different, especially as a woman, meant you were clearly supernatural and should be burned at the stake?”
Yeah, I wonder why. To that I'd ask why did you deny half of the population's potential? If women aren't that important to you, why can't you just let them be and see what happens?

Yeah, they wouldn't have gone as far without women's domestic labor. But also women who attempted to break the mould themselves were subjected to ridicule, isolation from the academic community and sometimes straight up violence. The FIRST female medical students in Britain were crushing their exams and leaving their male classmates in the dust, which made them so jealous and angry that it culminated in a riot, where they blocked the women from entering the exam room, screamed insults at them, and threw mud at them .

For a group so apparently "convinced" that we are intellectually inferior, they sure spent A LOT of energy trying to keep us uneducated and fearful.
