Just got laughed out by my sis for this.

I had an abusive ex who threatened to assault me like...2 years ago? Was too scared/isolated to report, just got the heck out of that relationship and blocked him everywhere.

I felt ready to check out what's out there on OLD. Almost felt like a jumpscare seeing my ex in the list of dudes who had swiped right on me. Apparently I can hide my profile, but looked like I had to report him to block him there. I only asked for him to be blocked from my profile, not for him to be banned off the app (I didn't make a police report when the abuse happened and this will haunt me forever it seems).

I told my sis because I was a bit shaken up to see this POS trying to reconnect. She laughed at me, said I was overreacting and he probably didn't even notice it was me since men just swipe right on everything. I feel...hurt? I've been through a lot and she knows it. After two years I was hoping I was done risking interaction with this guy. After the breakup, he kept following my socials until I blocked him, invaded my hobby group (I left, much peace was had), and now I'm trying to meet someone new he's surfacing again. Doesn't feel right.

I don't think trying to block him from my profile is overreacting? Sis says I should've just ignored it and I clearly haven't moved on from what happened. She's got a point, any reaction/attention is good news for scrotes like these. Idk, very confused rn, if I bounce to another app and he's there I'll probs have to deal with this sitch again. What would you have done?
